so what ur saying is i should flash the pcm back to stock , then adjust the injectors ? The tune i created was from the " starting hpt tuners " sticky in the pcm tuning section from this forum . Can i use that same tune and adjust the injectors then finish the maf hz 30 min drives to finish the maf ?????

You should be able to. I got the impression you were totally confused about the tune and here's the mods. Which is why I suggested the stock tune as a starting point. After you got the stock plug injectors, I was going to suggest that thread.

Like giving a loaded gun to a child... I'd suggest reading the "Starting HP Tuners" thread. In fact, read and get as much tuning information as possible. The way you're describing what you're doing, it's like you're just throwing in numbers that look good.

Looking at it that way is very tough. What do you mean IE base file?

You should started with a stock file, made the injector mods to it, then driven to get the maf tune. When you scanned, that should have given you the histogram for the % that you were off by. You take that and multiply by have of the % and that should bring your trims closer when you reset fuel trims and scan again.

Ok, setup the file is the way I'd call that. Then you should start the maf tune, correct?

not sure yet havent scanned it , after the ride home i was just bummed that it got worse instead of better , i think what messed it up is that i started tuning this like in august and stopped , i just let the car sit in the garage. So when i finally had time again i had no clue where i left off in tuning so i reflashed it with my orig setup tune and then this happened.

    Who looked at it?

Fuel trims would show you what you are running. But that doesn't matter. You are out tuning. Ensure that the car is up to temp before you start scanning. Also it helps if you drive around for 10 mins, turn the car off, back on and start another scan. That way your pcm has learned some trims. If you start off fresh..the car hasn't locked down any trims and your data will be off.

    Yeah.. I would.

The way I go about this is like this. You know how you reset the fuel trims? Well the short term don't automatically push to long term right away. Therefore when you plot the long terms agains maf frequency in the histogram...you are gonna get bad numbers. The way to do this is .. put in your tune, drive about 10 min of varied driving. Stop..turn car off, restart and you'll notice you Long terms are usually populated better. Maybe a second drive if you don't feel confident about them. Then you are ready to scan and log the data that is there. That data will be actual trims, not learning trims.

ok i think i'm going back to the basics , ditch the tune that i already flashed my pcm with and go back to stock tune , then from there dial in my 60lb injectors . Does this make sence to do ? Then i just need to figure out how to dial in the injectors lol

Here's the best way to do this...

    Take a stock tune
Add in your known items that need you to change tables (injectors, different maf)
Load that and go tune, the rest will fall into place.

In your case the only thing I see that you have to change is the 60lb injectors. Do that and begin the tuning process.
