For all those that know PCM tuning...lemme know your input as to what happened to my car. I just had one of those thoughts and am wondering what caused my motor to grenade piston 3 last winter. I was running a ZZP PCM (My car is a 2003) and it was stuck in programming mode (DIC flashing 0.0) I drove it like and flogged on it...A LOT. Just curious as to what might happen to a car during the programming mode if you drove it...I just thought this was the main reason why my car shot craps but I just want others opinions...for my own knowledge as I am tryin to understand the tuner and am reading all the Notebooks about it and such. Thanks for any info.

By the time I hooked a scanner up to it, it wouldn't even scan, so there really wasn't any way to tell.

We had no idea if it WAS knocking. The PCM was in programming mode ALL the time. Flashing 0.0's constantly. I went with the 3.4" pulley because at that time I had a CAI, ZZP PCM, 3" DP all the way back 3" custom exhaust, PEM's, 180*, AL104's, ZZP 1.84 RR, and other misc. stuff. I ended up going through 4...count it "4"...ZZP PCM's before I asked for my money back since I had no car for nearly 2 months in all. THEN, they told me I had to audacity to threaten them with the attorney general if I didn't get my money back for a faulty product. I got my money back BUT I also got a shattered piston out of the deal...pretty shi**y IMO...ZZP PCM's FTL...
