I was really thinking about an overkill tune, But I need help..
I admit, I have no knowledge how to install things like that in my car, How much do you think It would cost to get installed? and could anybody do it for me for fee? Like perhaps a local gpf member?

I don't want to end up ruining my car.

Josh...if you have the stock airbox. here's how you install it on a 97-03 and it's not much different 04-08

Remove the rubber tube from airbox to throttle body
Loosen two 8mm screws holding the airbox together.
Loosen two 7mm screws holding the connectors to the pcm
Slide old pcm out, and new in
    Snug the two 7mm screws
Put the airbox back together and snug the two 8mm screws
Put the rubber tube back in place
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    I don't have a stock airbox though lol, I have a HAI
But is that all I need to do? It seems so simple haha.
And once I order the Overkill PCM Its basically just plug and play?

If the PCM has never been used in that car it might require a crank angle sensor relearn (CASE).

Above can be performed using a scantool.

Don't forget to tell the tuner what octane fuel you use and all of your mods.

Try to connect with other members in reasonable proximity.

Not to take this thread but, if getting a overkill PCM on my 07, is it just basically plug N play? take out old and put in new, no reprogramming or anything?

mine needed the CASE learn, thats a two second job with the HP tuners system, you can start the car and see if you get a SES light and what codes pop up

So is a CASE re-learn a simple matter of just clearing any codes that pop up with a scanner?

EDIT that... Google is your friend. I do see there is a basic procedure involved.

Case lean should be done anytime the PCM or any of the timing related sensors are changed.

    DO IT!!
Any canned tune sucks balls and they are all essentially the same and a waste of money. Having a custom tune done should be a no-brainer.

I would love to do that, but nobody wants to come to my area and give me a tune.
How much might the charge be? xD

When you need a water pump changed do you expect the mechanic to come to your house with his tools?

Get it running decent and take it to the tuner. Well worth the effort.

    They do actually.

Tuners seem to charge a little extra and they'll show up at your door.
