you'll need to drill and tap the blower, or drill and tap a tb spacer, how i got mine working.
you can lay your hand on the blower and leave it there after a pass at the track, stuff really cools the blower down. and adds octane.

Nice! That’s what I will do. Probably buy the stuff and do it in the spring. I have a TB spacer so that should be easy enough to drill and tap.
im also on the 50/50, 5 gallons runs me 35 if sold in a can, or 30 for pumped into your own can at the track. then distilled water is cheap enough. im still using up the 10 gallons i got last fall. if you dont drive wot all the time it can last a good while.
A wideband is definitely a priority!
How can I stop the ECM from adding timing more than the set value? I’ll get 3* knock and look at my timing and it is 5* more than what I have it set by. As far as I can tell the adders are zero’d out. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am using HPTUNERS. Thanks.
Log any spark correction channel if you can.
Like IAT advanced, ECT advance and if there are any others to see what may be adding to the total timing.
Post a log/tune here if you want.
Thanks 5FDP. I just received my PLX DM8 wideband. I have been researching installs and the info is a bit confusing and outdated. I plan on using it as the narrowband replacement as well. So that’s even more confusing. Everywhere I read keeps mentioning fuses, resistors, and relays. The PLX instructions are vague and has no mention of these. If anyone has experience with the newer PLX install, any pointers will help. Urgh. Back to researching.
Thanks guys.
I contacted PLX and they said that their devices do not need the resistors or noise filters unless the tuner recommends it for that specific PCM. I’m going to use a battery powered relay and the ignition wire as a switch to set it up.
i had a old plx i just wired it up to a power key on fuse and ground at the battery. had that dumb red box to plug in and out of. hated that wb lol
aem is so simple to install. got one in both my toys.
Now you tell me. LOL!
