Ok. Let me see if I can get this right...

2002 Monte Carlo. 2004 Impala SS engine and trans. Should the 2002 PCM be able to run this combination? Buddy of mine is asking for my tuning assistance.

    Thanks!

o4 monte got a gen 3? if not you need a tb adapter and a 2000 l67 tb for it. then you need to swap the trans tune and a load of other crap over

if you can get a l67 2000 monte bin that would be the best thing to do.

just looked in my file of bins. no l67 monte. you'll have to set it up like a top swap's tune. trans, timing and map files are a must. and you need to get a 2000 l67 tb so you can still use your maf. the na tb is oval and dont fit right.

damn it, the tranny, iirc the 04 monte would of have the gen 3 blower and older style tranny, like a 03 gtp. you will likely need to do a pnp swap on it.

heres bills how to on that. Wiring a external PNP switch to an internal PNP transmission - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

If you need a certain bin file lmk. I’ll see if I can come up with one and upload it to the tune vault.

Wow.. Scott was all over the place.

L67 was available in the Monte in both 2002 and 2004. No motor worries.
Trans however... the valve body, pressure switch and channel plate are most likely the difference, besides the internal vs external pnp. I'd have someone like Scott or Iceman use a DHP to start with an 02 L67 Monte bin then drag the 04 Monte L67 trans onto it. Then stuff an external pnp you pickup super cheap from a junkyard on it and poof. All set.

What the heck.. I was sure 2002 was possible to have a supercharger. Hmmm

Just drop the 04 bin in and smile maybe. Maybe drag the 04 engine and trans over in dhp to get it happy.

04 files don't work on 2002's. You either need to have someone manually change your file to a 2 bar map or just run a 1 bar.

I don't know of anyone that can change the files anymore, so you're probably just stuck with running a 1 bar.
