you got that auto trim learner with hp, this should be done in less then 45 minutes, giving you 4 swings at it lol
just raise or lower the values till your trims are with in range.

There isn't a button or table for "auto trim relearn", it's just the way HPT works with fuel trims after you reset them and want to log them again. It still takes time for the fuel trims to come back "alive" in way and start making corrections on there own, but that window is pretty short.
Making a MAF vs LTFT isn't hard to do. You are doing what is says, logging the LTFT% against the MAF sensor.
Create a new graph with the parameter being LTFT bank 1 sensor, change the name of the graph if you want too. The column axis needs to be the Mass Airflow Frequency (sensor). Copy the column axis from the MAF table in the editor and paste it in the values box in the scanner table editor. Change the min/max colors and counts if you want to and that's pretty much it. It should now log the LTFT against the MAF and let you take those numbers and special paste them by half % into the MAF curve. A minimum of 50 counts should get you decent info to work with. Reset trims after you flash the file to the vehicle and drive it a little bit before logging more data to allow the trims to come back.
Ok thanks. I will get back to trying this tomorrow. I am putting the new o2 sensor in I have had sitting here. I have to replace the pacesetter collector in order to get it in. I just received that today.

It's only "good" in some ways, there are many ways to tune vehicles. I never seen that website and got myself very far in tuning by reading other sources.
Some information in there is out dated and kinda gear towards the V8 cars.
What are the most accurate ones that you used to learn this craft?
i dont know if you can read maf KPA or not, or if your injector cells are listed by kpa. but dhp we scan the maf kpa and the ltft.
say your reading your scan and in maf kpa 70 cell and the ltft is +10, your would need to add 10 to what ever value you have in the injector files 70 kpa cell.
you would do this for each kpa cell. this is where them no boost easing into the gas to run through the rpm range is needed. so you can see each cell as they climb.
I've never heard of maf kpa, only map kpa, but that doesn't mean much. I took a screen shot of where the LTFT reset and learn was. It takes about a minute to learn for me. I will hit reset twice, once to reset it and another to deselect it. I didn't do that once and the LTFT's stayed at 0 until I deselected the reset. after I hit reset, I click the LTFT learn and go for a drive.

thats to damn cool. i flashed my junk last week, trims are still learning lol, like before @ idle +5-6, driving normal it was 0.0.
its like cold today, so i romped on it down the hwy just a bit, trims went to -3 cruising, and -5 idle when i parked it lol it was warmed up when i started out too. just parked for 45 minutes while i went shopping. thank god for the wideband, at least you know for sure what coming out the engine.
I just started back figuring this out. When I reset the fuel trims do I wait until they learn again to start the adjustment scan?

anyone have any input on this scan? I used the LTFT learn feature in HPT. I recorded during the relearn process just to view what was going on. It was a 26 minute scan and it seems like the LTFT never really adjusted. The STFT looks good (i think). I have the PE set to 100% during this scan. Any ideas why the LTFT is staying so negative?

you have pe set to 100 where? and neg ltft is now rich, how neg is the question, i cant see your scans. if your idling @-5 or less thats good, wot your goal is 0.0 but close on the + or - side is ok too.
stft dont mean a whole lot, they should always hit 0 when wot, and at idle it should read damn close to zero as well. the rest of the time its all over the place.
The LTFT is around -16. Since the reset it stays close to that. Maybe it's not completely relearned yet?
In the how to HPT tutorial on here it says to set the PE to 100% so that it actually doesn't go into enrichment mode.
Well I may have found the issue. The new pacesetter collector I had installed was leaking. I had the old pacesetter collector on for 3+ years and no leaks. New one = leaks. :-/
I took it off and slathered it up with ultra copper. Hopefully it seals. I'll find out tomorrow.
