I ran into the same problem last year, and couldn't find a work around. are the osid's the same on both files?

thats odd, it should not know the difference. if theres another bin with the same osid try that one.
whats your osid? i might have one set up already. then you can just change the vin and try that one. i know the one i got worked for the guy.
Thanks for the help guys, serial number was off by 1 number. Finally got the no cat testing bin turned into a .hpt and about to open it with the updated HPT. Its a real PITA when you cant have two versions of HPT installed at once. Just need to figure out how to combine the tunes now. Can I rewrite the vin and serial on any GP to avoid licensing? Out of curiosity
yup, its one way around hpt licensing. why its nice to have a dhp too, it can change a vin number for most pcm's.
ive not used hp, but i hear about the compare two bins option, do that and i guess you can copy over your tune that way .
Right when I think its going to finally work.. "Validate checksum failed. You will be unable to flash or save this file".
HP Tuners will open the bin that you used TT to modify, and as long as everything jives, the bin will load. it seems that HP Tuners will no longer be supporting the .bin file format, so be sure to save the 2.24 format someplace for future use, "just in case." I have 2 machines that I use for tuning, my laptop, and a cheap windows 10 tablet. I bought the tablet for 100 dollars, and use it most of the time, but it's nice to have a spare. I'm thinking about downloading the new HP Tuners 3.2 software onto my laptop and trying it out again. I wanted to use the serial input feature that the 3.2 offers, but I couldn't ever get it to work, and it might be an issue with my tablet, I think that now because the innovate mtx-l gauge setup software wouldn't hookup to the gauge, and as soon as I brought out the laptop it worked without an issue.
Yes trying to open my .hpt file, says i own the license on it tho.
Im looking at that too Scotty, no clue what to set for value tho.

Lmao, sorry haven't had my coffee yet. Ill try that.
lol. Already going bald so no big deal... No luck changing the value to 0 any more ideas?
It works with 2.24, but i cant open and compare my old tune with it so i would have to start over and when I go from my truck to my car I have to uninstall then reinstall but I guess ill just have to deal.
