Car is 06 tiberon 2.0 5 speed
So ive been helping a buddy out cus he bent a couple valves in his engine due to the timing belt snapping. I told him the best route would be to get a jy engine for cheap cus his car had almost 190k on it and the body is completly rust free. So we picked up a engine with 114k on it for 400 bucks. Overall the swap wasnt hard by any meens but everything little thing that can go wrong does.
Anyway wondering if anyone can help me out witht his thing.
Issue 1: Slave cylinder will not fully bleed no matter what i do. It was replaced not long ago along with the clutch. At first i couldnt bleed it via pushing in the slave because the master rod was out to far. So i shortened it and now i can push it in. I probly pushed that thing in 100 times and there is barely any bubbles. But the clutch is not engaging all the way. I read something on the forums about there being a stupid cushon and spring inside the slave for damper and it should be removed to get the clutch to engage fully and its a common issue but havnt done so yet so i guess ill give it a try but just seems like i shouldnt have to.
2nd issue: Is the car is falling on its face at 1/8 throttle. Idle seems fine but as soon as i press the throttle it bogs. I swapped plugs, coils, and crank sensor from other engine wil no change. Gonna try to cam and tps next. My other thought was timing cus i put a new belt on but quadrupal checked and it is dead on cam and crank. He said something about the car not running like it used to though so i was wondering if the cat was starting to clog and finally did so ima try taking off the manifold and see if it runs better.
Anyone have any other ideas i havnt thought of yet? thanks
