Me and my dad just purchased a 72 Camaro and decided to make it a pro touring car with a late model engine. We are searching for an ls1, ls2, or 6.0 vortec engine with trans, wiring harness, and computer for it. Any iformation on a good place to find these used engines or information about these would help out alot.
    Thanks.

Pay somebody with an old truck to total the rear end of a newer Vette'. Follow the "donor" vehicle to the salvage yard. Strike.

    HEHEHEHE.

Honestly though, I don't have an answer. Just trollin'.

If you wanted to go a cheaper route, you could always get the cast iron 6.0 or 5.3 truck motor and go with a LS2/3/7 intake.

I see you're from Ohio so my first thought (since they have a huge Ebay store) is: Schram Auto Parts - The Best in New and Used Parts

05 06 COBALT ENGINE 2.2L, 05 06 07 SILVERADO 1500 ENGINE 5.3L items in Schram Auto Parts store on eBay!

Edit: I don't see anything on their site now but keep your eyes out. They always get good stuff.

    1998 Intrigue - Parted out
    2008 G8 GT - Heavily modded
    2016 WRX STi Limited - Bolt-ons

Ebay is your friend. Best bang for your buck is an LQ9 drop out, or even an LQ4, which is more commonplace. Regardless, either will get the job done in a hurry, and the LQ4 is likely to have the 4L80E behind it, as it was from an HD truck or van. Be sure to score the TCM as well if you find an '80E. Happy rodding!
