This one's for you Bill! I give you.... "The Leaf Blower"!!!!
Most everything is working fine surprisingly. I still can't believe most of this works after sitting for that long! Kind of feel bad for the original owner who gave up after a few minor electrical issues and all those who didn't even bother trying because the fuel pump was out! Oh well. Their loss, my gain!

Those poor animals just wanted to have a cozy nest.
So what's next?

Not quite sure yet. I've already got a full engine I intend to rebuild, good transmission core I'll rebuild, already have 4 of 6 pistons, but I'm estimating the machine shop costs to be around $1500 plus probably $1000 in parts.
Right now I'm stuck between going with that trans and spending at least $1500 in parts, or picking up a low mileage 6t75 and controller for around $1000. I think I'm leaning towards 6 speed....
That and wether I splurge on aluminum heads or not. Sounds crazy, but there's lots of benefits and that cuts down on machine shop costs by $500.
That and the fact I'm broke at the moment...

Oh geeze.. that's a lot of expenses. You sure you want to build a fresh engine instead of snagging a cheap bottom end? Lucerne's etc have 3800's for years after our cars disappeared. A nice L26 low mileage bottom end would really kick some butt with good heads, cam etc.

Well, here's the rust.... honestly, better than I expected, but not sure if it's worth restoring. Got a friend who can weld well, so I'll see how much he wants to do it, but first, the engine has to come out....

Lol yeah.... I'll probably take a cutoff wheel to open up the frame and see the internal damage. Hitting with a hammer and chisel, the driver's side is the worst. Upper part is perfect, and rest towards the rear needs replacing, trunk sheet metal is bad. Passenger side isn't bad except for sheet metal and a few holes, but there's enough metal left if I can stop the internal rust.

Lol I'm far too lazy for that. Might see how much sand blasting would cost, but honestly, since I don't have a trailer, I'll probably just spend days with a grinder and flapwheel... then just have my buddy weld it and por 15 the snot out of it. Idk. Think I'll pull the engine and try to sell it to cover the cost of the welding.

Spray with OSPHO, call it good, go do burnouts.
Don't listen to me, I don't' have to deal with rust.

Fabricating a new rear body structure that facilitates the engine swap may be more prudent / less complex than fixing spots. Have a look at the big picture once the engine and trans are out. Fieros are cringe material for this guy. Had a gf with one and I would not even ride in it.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.
