You know there is a company that is making first gen camaro kits. Same type of kits people by to build a new cobra. Iirc the rolling chassis is in the neighborhood of 12K unpainted, no motor and no tranny.

Since I owned a 72 Chevelle many years ago and it was my favorite car I would love a 72 Chevelle SS. I think the reason I like the Impala, eventhough a stretch, is the tail light layout. My exhaust new exhaust tips are similar to this.
Hey Injun....Was it a Ficus???haha (the commercial)
To almost everyone else..Joe Dirt Joe Dirt Fricken Mopar sucks!
I have 2 of my dream cars..01 Trans Am 79 Trans Am
The only car I would trade my 01 for is the 30th Anniversary TA white with blue stripes and wheels
On my list now is a 69 Trans Am and a 67 GTO 70 Nova(sentimental)
No that was a good movie and thats wat i would of said to tht douche in the t/a
Yea then theirs the one where some guys name is scratched on the side of his car, i forgot wat the name was but ill use an example. He called in and said bob was keyed on his car, and the women was like we dont cover bob but we cover bobby. Haha if i was tht guy i would of scratched in the rest.
Well, I got one of my dream cars... a 1999 GTP. I don't plan on ever getting rid of it.
Other dreams cars i'd like to own...
-1987 Buick Grand National/T-Type... (I had a couple buddies with those cars, there awesome. I found a White T-Type awhile back for $7,400... should of bought the damn thing, oh well no garage space to store one anyway.)
-1972 Plymouth Road Runner w/ a big block (400 or 440), 8 3/4" rear, 3.91 gears, cammed, headed, stalled, built 727... (I had a buddy w/ a car just like this. Alot of good times an memories!)
-1958 Plymouth Fury all original, red w/ chrome trim... (Always loved the movie Christine w/ that car. I drool over them everytime I see them at a car show. I would also a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Golden Commando in place of this car. Just like the car unearth in Tulsa last summer.)
-1970 or 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. Perferably a non-numbers-matching car so I could drive and enjoy. BB and Hemi cars are worth too much and you can't drive em. I want one I can actully drive and enjoy. Like start out w/ a stripped Slant 6 version and turn it into a 'Cuda clone w/ a BB, a set of classic Cragar wheels w/ fatter wheels in to rear. Flare the rear quarters, Triple back (interior, vinyl top, body)... Basically just like the cars on Phantasm, Phantasm 2, Phantasm 3, and Phantasm 4. Even the resto rod versions go for a ton. So this dream maybe hard to come by... (Another movie car I always loved. My mom had a 1973 'Cuda when I was a little kit, so i've been around them a little bit. There is potential).
-1957 Chevy Bel-Air 2-door hardtop (very rare) or post car. It would be a street rod, tubbed w/ a BB Chevy, full interior... (Always liked the look of these.)
-1932 Ford 5-window Coupe. Another Strert rod dream. I'd probably do an AGGRESSIVE 350 SB or an LT1, custom interior, wheels, etc. (Again, always loved the look)
-1960s AC Cobra, original or kit car w/ a 427 BB. (I know of a 65 kit car locally for $25,000, but the catch is that its a salvage title. I looked around it, doesn't look wreaked. It runs and drives. It could do for a fresh resto. Its got the 427 BB w/ Auto tranny. Its blue w/ white racing stripes. Again, if I had the garage space, i'd consider this find as well)
-2007 ZO6 Vette w/ the LS7... (Badass, thats all I can say! Too much damn money, maybe if I win the lotto.)
-2005, 2006 Pontiac GTO LS2 w/ Auto. Probably Yellow or Burnt Orange, not too picky on the color. (I might have one of these very soon. The GF and I have talked about it. There great cars but the market on these are a rip off! I don't see the point in buying one now, and it losing value in about a year when the new F-bodies come out. Thats what i'm waiting for right now. Once the F-bodies come out, the value on the GTOs should drop and I can get one for a better price. IMO, I don't want to pay $20,000-$28,000 for a 2-3 yr old car w/ several thousand miles on them and alot of them are modded. I prefer stock of course. We'll see.)
There are many many other cars on my mind besides these.....
Just need to input mine as well...
As for affordable dream car.
Domestic Affordable, and hopefully coming this spring:
Black 2-door GTX
Luxury-Affordable would have to be a Lexus IS-F:
Import would be the new Nissan GT-R:
Exotic would be a toss up between a few choices...Aston Martin DBS, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster, and the Ferrari F430:
1970 Buick GS Stage 2. Little known option, it consisted of a Stage 1 setup with certain extra pieces installed by the dealers. A slightly freer-flowing intake, and a different carb,, mainly. Good for another 25 or so hp.
2006 Phantom Black GTO 6.0L And if it had a supercharger and a cam it wouldn't hurt my feelings any.
Also like the new Shelby Cobra.
Not to break your balls or anthing, but its my insane car knowledge that gets people pissed off at me. But anyways they messed up on the car that they used in the christine movie. they said it was a 58 plymouth fury right. well they didnt make those they only came in buckskin beige with gold trim. The 1958 Belvidere, the next model down, was available in toreador red and iceberg white, with silver the trim. I just know alot about classic cars.

About 5 years ago at my old trans shop I rebuilt a muncie 4 speed manual trans for a 69 Z28 with the DZ 302, wow I must say that was THE most fun car to drive!!! This car was mint, really low miles, and the owner said go beat the crap out of it when you are done!!! GLADLY!!! I thought I had fun in the car, when the owner picked it up he said lets go for a ride and every gear he burried the tach! The sound, feel, and thrill just cant be matched by any other car I have driven/road in.I would like a 69 Camaro SS 302 Zapper.
Ahhhhh and here's a pic of my fav car

Dave, you ever see "Two Lane Blacktop"? Crappy movie, but I love the stripped down primered '55 Chevy in that flick.
I envisioned your picture of the '57 above with a big red X over the engine and then at the bottom the pic would say, "Insert L67 Here" LOL!
yea the camaro with that 302 didnt have a good top end at all probaly alittle over 100, but letme tell u it got to 100 verrrrry quick. Good engine Good car. It would almost be a tough choice between a camaro with a 302 or a 396 but i would prbably go for the 302, cause if i want power i would just get a chevelle with a 454.
