Thread: Flash Lights and Knifes

OK so I wanted to see what y'all think cause this will be the most expensive flash light I'll ever buy.
So I need me a good flash light that's not only bright as **** when I need it to but also a good daily use light as well. I'm thinking a rechargeable one will be nice.
I've been looking at the following sites to decide on one and can't really make up my mind.

Also it has to be durable. I've been buying several cheaper lights lately and break them more than I want to....comes with the job though. So any and all opinions are welcome along with other options if anyone has em. Doesn't have to be either of those brands those are just the two I've been looking ay

The one really considering is the MagCharger or the MAG-TAC

I would go with the surefire. They are what is used by most LEOs and have great output and durability.

LEOs not sure what that means. And from what I can read their rechargeable battery systems are no where near as good. I mean I have a small "tactical" surefire flashlight now and it doesn't work right sometimes....will flicker constantly is what I mean. And that was after a week of use in the field.

This is the best flashlight I have ever owned. And is used by our local LEO's.
I can put a beam on a barn that I own at 1000+ ft away with it fully charged.
It also has 3 stages of light intensity, plus a strobe mode as well.

In my automotive class, one of the students had a flashlight that I'm pretty sure was that one by looks, and his had a strobe mode too. That thing was incredible. He could shine it from one end of the classroom to the other (it's a pretty good sized classroom) and it was like he had one of those 12-volt powered lamps with a halogen bulb, very bright.

How bright are they.....rechargeable?

and possibly one more small flash light if i find another one i like. recharge-ability is a huge factor. dont mind having to buy a replacement battery every year or so due to use

I like the "projector" led flashlights. I used to have one would I could slide the top part to make a wide bright ass beam, or a narrow in your eyeball beam, metal body and waterproof. Ill have to look for it

ive had a few of the large mag lights in the past, and the small ones too. for the price they work good, and they double as a club if you need to pound on someone.

i got one now thats a good 10 years old. the first bulb just blew out a few years back. mag lights are good for a spare bulb at least. hidden under the spring inside.

the price of some of those would just not happen in my life time lol
