So its time for me to get something new. Now before everyone jumps in and tells me to buy a G8 ill stop ya right there. I would love a G8 but my ideal G8 is very tough to find (Black on Black GXP with super low miles unmodded) even if I could find that the money Id spend on that would get me into a nearly new Charger with vastly superior options. So that being said Im in the hunt for a Charger. But im still open if I found the right 04+ GTP again black on black with super low miles id buy that simply cause its so dang cheap and im familiar with them. The goal is to buy something strictly for a daily that I would do basically only visual mods to.

What id like help with just for comparison purposes is how well does a lets say 04+ GTP stack up against a 12+ SXT Plus AWD?

Im pretty set on the whole Charger thing as I have a 2012 Durango Citadel which I love to death and I like to match like its goin out of style! Im contemplating finding an SRT8 but I am in real estate and I pound miles and I feel like it would be a shame to drive such a beautiful car so many miles and up and down old highways and dusty gravel roads. But its still an option. Thoughts?

Nice, nothing wrong with a Charger or anything. The SXT is a nice base if its loaded.

Wait for a G8, honestly I've driven a charger, challenger, camaro, and mustang and the G8 is just better. Maybe not in individual categories but overall. Plus it's rare. You don't see soccer moms driving it.

I hear ya there but the one thing its missing is Adaptive cruise control which is a must now that I have that and they dont come stock with a decent nav. If I did find that one and I search daily ill buy it just to have for a while but it will be so tough to find exactly what im looking for in a dream G8

    Charger,g8, or a older cts?

I would try to find them local at a dealer and test drive and see how you like each one. What works for one guy doesn't always work for the other let the test drive sell you on a car not someone's personal recommendation.

I personally really like the 12+ chargers. There's a woman at my work that has one. Sxt but has all the R/T appearance options, as well as Nav. No leather/sunroof which would be a potential deal breaker to me.

Honestly I don't think an R/T would be too bad as a DD. Gas mileage isn't as good as the V6 but it's better than DDing an SRT8.

But all that aside, I'd buy a 300 over a charger 100% of the time

Ive been getting in and out of a few cars lately, its tough to find a GXP to test drive most times I see them online. But im sure I would happy with it! Im in no rush im just gathering info and keeping my eyes peeled for the right one. Im just curious about how a late model GTP holds up against a SXT I know there is a bit of an age gap but id love to know what other people think between the two.
