Damn, I know a few fema people there already.
dont **** with nature.
my condolences to the victims of the tornado's, after seeing twister and tv shows on tornado's F that noise
as far as the movie twister goes
I live just outside Cleveland, and the last tornado activity I saw was in 1984. There is a town called Newton Falls that damn near got leveled. I dont remember what level it was, but I am positive it was no more than an F-2, maybe an F-3 on a stretch. I will never forget the images. I was like 7 years old, but that sh!t sticks with you. I can only imagine the devastation on the level these people are experiencing... I am of the same mind set though. I will not live in an area that is prone to these storms or hurricanes. It's craziness.
So, being that most of you are too far away to get this info on FB, there is a group page thingy with all sorts of pictures you should look at. Rather funny to me. Just shows how well we stand up behind each other in the south.

Those Westboro Bastard Baptists thought they could come into our state and pull ****, well that didn't happen. From what I've heard arrests were made and others scattered once they realized that it IS illegal to protest 2 hours before, 2 hours after, or within 1000feet of a funeral in the state of Oklahoma. Idiots.
The line protecting the families as they pulled up is just awesome. Give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Im from NY and remember seeing 2 tornadoes as a kid back in the day up there. One of them I cried like a baby since the funnel cloud was about 3 miles away and we could see the clouds swirling in mid air but the twister barely touched down and all the rain and lightning and crazy winds was gone within an hr. So I kinda know what its like, glad to be in FL away from that zone.
My older brother lives in Moore right behind the Warren theatre, and his house was gone. He and his wife were at work and my 4yr old nephew was at his grandparents. My brother took off work right after it had passed because his two dogs were left inside. To his amazment they were both still alive just buried and trapped under rubble. He climbed through and got them out but in the process stuck his foot with a nail and had to go get a tetanus shot, but hes doing well now. Looters tried coming several times to steal things. Good thing his neighbor camped out and scared them off. I went to help this past Wednesday and its an awful sight to say the least. Me and my Gf and family have been donating and helping as much as we can, along with everyone else's efforts. Its no Joke, I live just a bit south from them in Norman and my house does not have a storm shelter, but i will be looking for one now for sure. Here is my brothers house, or whats left of it.
and my brother and his wife:
dont mind the get up hes wearing, it was all donated and he took what he could to go out there and clean and help.
Crazy, glad they were all ok tho, dogs too My cousin personally knows the McCabe family that lost their little boy, it is devastating. My aunts old house was in the path, glad she moved, but feel for the people who was living there at the time.
1 question tho.... what is in the tree on the right at the top of the first picture???
Ah dang, ya the loss of life is truly one of the saddest outcomes of this tornado. Everything else is replaceable. O ya and F*ck WESTBORO for trying to pull their stunts at the familie's funeral services that lost lives.. smh at those people.
And if i remember right it was a chunk of insulation that blew into the tree, amongst other debris. You can also see pieces of the garage door wrapped around the tree towards the bottom.
Wow, glad to hear everyone made it out alright, squeeze, especially your nephew. Loss of life is always a tragedy but when it is a child it enters another realm entirely.
My work (local college) has started a donation relief fund. It doesn't feel like we're doing enough, at least to me it doesn't. I wish I could be there to help with my own hands.
I was there, and it was amazing the number of people that showed up to keep those assholes away. Both at the church where services were held and at the burial site. Musta been 2-300 bikers alone, not to memtion the rest of us. We got a nice wave from the family that made it all worth it. You could just tell how much they appreciated the support.
have heard conflicting reports, cops told me they didn't have permits to protest and would be arrested on site if they showed, then we heard that happened over at the church. But have read other reports it was some of the gay rights people's acting a fool and got arrested. I can't find any credible evidence cause we had a media blackout per the families request. We saw channel 4 news van roll up and we about swarmed them, but a cop went over and told them to GTFO!
Damn Chris, I didn't hear your brothers house was hit. You know if you need anything just let me know, I got my truck and some hands and we will be free a few hours every morning before I go to work. You see that Shawn's wife's daycare got wiped out with her and several kids inside?
hoooly shiit... feel bad for all those people. My work (Firestone) has a donation thing going on to help out just like Boston was helped during the bombings.
On a Twister note, me and my ex girlfriend used to get high alllll the time and watch that movie. great flick.
