Alright I have a Grand Prix GXP with about 110k miles on it. The damn tranny just broke down on the thing and costed me 2k to replace. Now however, I got the car back, and after a couple days it won't start up. I took it back to the dealership my grandpa works at to take a look at it, and they think it could be something else going bad (not the battery, possibly the starter). Now I'm left with two options here. Trade in the vehicle to them for what they offered me on it ($4500) or pay to have the problem figured out and fixed. I'm really torn, on one hand I'm worried about dumping a bunch more money into the damn thing, but on the other I feel like I'm getting ripped off only getting $4500 back on my car. I feel like if I got it fixed I could resell it privately for a lot more. What do you all think? Need some quick opinions because I need to figure out what I want to do with it ASAP. Also I've never sold a vehicle privately, so I don't know how hard it is. How much do you guys think I could get off it if I got it fixed up and working properly? Everything else seems to be fine, brake pads, tires, etc.. are all pretty new. I also have a nice soundsystem installed (might be incentive for some or I might just sell the stuff independently).
