Bought my sister a 2001 Buick lesabre around xmas with 218k on it. it ran amazingly and about a week or two after we ran into a problem and havent had any luck with it. first acted up when we drove it about 5 miles and parked for lunch and then came out after about half hour and it would turn over but not fire, similar to a fuel pump, however after a few minutes of trying it fired right up and drove just fine with no codes. it has done this a few times and a couple times it will be driving down the road and kill however it will then start up either immediately or after a few minutes. However once it wouldnt start for two days? we have replaced the battery, i also had the ICM tested and we ran it 8 different times and none of which showed it fail in any way. other than this i looked over the vehicle and found one frayed wire going to a fuel injector so i replaced it however it is still stalling randomly. i was curious if anyone had had a similar problem with their 3.8 and if you had any suggestions to fix it, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
could it have something to do with the VATS? would getting a new key from a dealer help by chance?
