    ...a house.

We picked it up tonight and agreed on a deal. Built in 1952, Garage is big for a 2 car (I'll get pictures eventually), 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1570 sqft. Wood floors throughout (done by my Uncle's Business which cracked me up when I found out), Central air and heat, 0.5 acres, room to grow and add additions like a 4 car garage.

    Anyways...a few pictures for now.

Oh and I'm getting a Doggah, we are going to hit the shelters soon I've been wanting a dog for a long time, thinking about a beagle.

Must have been a sidewalk or something leading away from the front door, you can see where they put sod in.

Yes it does and I plan to finish it. No sump pump needed, but doesn't mean I won't do the proper tactics to seal and prep it.

Furnance is 30 years old, so we think with tax refund this year get a new one and go Natural Gas, uses heating oil right now, it will pay for itself as it is pumped in from the street.

I have a lot in mind but all in due time, can't plan everything. We plan to start a family within the next 2-3 years.

One nice thing about living on a hill. You will never need your sump pump, most likely.

    Nicely done.

This ended making more sense than buying a lot and building your own?

Yeah, it definitely is. Someone drylocked the basement, I may slap up another coat, they have french drains built in already. I want to lay wood frame, but get panels that are removable so I can redrylock every 10 years and water/mold resistant.

Couldn't beat the price or taxes. I will pay with escrow almost the same as rent, can't beat it and the house really needs nothing.

And the location...it is perfect, quiet road, plenty of space, with a 1 mile of all the important stuff and then some.

Sounds like everything just fell into place.

Isn't life great when that happens?

You got leaves!! Yay. Might need a rake and a half.

You grade looks really good for drainage.
Probably wouldn't need the sump if the slope is good. And keep the gutters cleaned.

    Looks nice!

Cool deal on the DryLok too. You saying that just reminds me that I need to strip off the paint off our walls and apply it. Our walls seep in the spring months.

The garage looks as big as the house. If you build a 4 car garage, that section will be larger than the house and people will know its a house built for a man lived in by a man. You just need a manly dog and a beagle is not a manly dog.
