In other news, my dad bought a Ruger AR15 today. Unfortunately its a flat top and they had no sights to sell, not even scopes. So, he can't actually play with it until later.

With NDAA we won't even be entitled to a trial. They don't need warrants for almost anything anymore.
I don't know about you guys but I "sold" all my weapons.......... Not worried at all about all of these bans. It's unconstitutional and it will never pass. But if people do really want to make a change then what needs to be done is gather a bunch of people, and set things straight again the proper way. Not by force and not by attacking one another. Simply ban together and hold a publicized conference with thousands of people for the same cause. Place no argument just well placed statements, facts, and evidence that has been extensively researched. Come with all of this and every piece of documentation/high standing public figures. And prove that things aren't going how Our government thinks its going. If we want people to listen we need to speak up, give our opinions and our reasonings. Stop letting our government tell us what they think is right and show them they are wrong. The saddest thing I see/hear everyday are strong willed people that I look up to and maybe even you look up to, gabbing and complaining instead of just going through with what needed to be done in my eyes a long time ago. I believe the tea party was a sorry a$$ excuse for trying to do the right thing. Stay focused on what we want as a whole open your mouth only when you have an idea that has been very thoroughly thought out, and do something because before to long you won't be able to. Now that I sound like the ranters I so dispise I bid you goodnight. If there is someone out that feels the same way that I do and wants to try to stand out and a be strong well advised speaker, remember one thing, and I'm dead serious, life is like a jar of jalapeƱos, what you choose to do today might burn your a$$ tomorrow. Don't let yourself become foolish and believe that all you say is right. Be open to others opinions. Allow them to sway you, but do so in a sensible manner. I'm not saying don't trust anyone but be careful what you choose to say. It may end up effecting in an opposing manner. Choose all your words carefully. When someone asks a question you may not know the answer to DO NOT walk around the question but answer it to your best most well thought out ability. Don't be a politician they don't answer questions. You may just be the next person in the history books that did something great for this nation that I love so dearly. Thanks for reading.

Lol sorry I get carried away sometimes
If you don't like guns and want to ban them or a type, have a vote to amend the constitution. What? You say that amendment won't pass? Oh, no ****. Must mean people actually like their rights to own a gun. Who would have guessed that...
Had that argument with a friend today, she just kept getting mad cause shes the tree hugging hippy type that can't think for herself. She was attacking assault weapons when I mentioned how rare they were used in crimes... why aren't they attacking handguns? She then went on about the last shooting, to which I mentioned how he had TWO handguns.
I think what it comes down to is, these people are emotional morons who can't be bothered to think up a way to regulate the stuff without just saying "ban it all." Thing is, if you give them a way to circumvent the the right to bear arms, you give them ways to circumvent freedom of speech and other rights. It's a slippery slope with no recourse.
Just finished building this for my collection. It took about 6 hours to finish as it was partly assembled and forgotten about in 1981, and left for not in a cabinet untill I cleaned out the cabinet in 11/2011 packing things up to move to the new house. I polished all the metals, sanded/stained the stock, 2 coasts of clear.
Philladelphia Derringer .45 blackpowder percusion. The same style and type used by BOoth.
and the others:
Just thought I would clarify, that I in no way shape or form oppose guns. I love them, if I were rich I'd own 2 of every kind. Those people piss me off even when they say they want to regulate it more. If they were even to simply regulate it more it would infringe in a worse way on all compitent gun owners.
Regardless to if/how you regulate guns, bad things like the most recent shootings can and will still happen.
If you outlaw guns, all you will do is dis-arm the honest man.
Cocaine is illegal, people still get it and use it.
Heroine it illegal, people still get it and use it.
Speeding is illegal, people still do it.
Driving drunk is illegal, people still do it.
What makes anyone think that regulating guns will stop people from going on shooting sprees? Anyone remember the North Hollywood shootout? It happened during the last AWB. There were more attacks with "assault weapons" during the ban, then after it.
Two things make me mad about the current hoopla in gun control. 90% of it is about banning Assault Weapons, a term they made in 1994 to ban them the first time.
-They're a type of firearm rarely used in crimes.
-The guy at the school shooting had TWO other weapons besides a Bushmaster AR15: a Glock and Sig handgun.
No one even mentions he had handguns or if he did or didn't use them. Everyone focuses on the rifle and I don't understand why. Also, in case no one knew this, the rise of sub-compact handguns to popularity was because of the magazine ban in 1994. People just made the guns as small as possible so 10 cartridges (legal limit) could barely fit. Handguns are the number one firearm category used in crimes and homicides, but no one seems to care. That right there tells me this whole thing is a bogus charade that has an agenda rather than a real functional purpose.
You, sir, need a wing man to help you carry that 50. I totally volunteer. I've got my own frankenstein AR, so I'm good to go.
There's a 2nd Amendment Freedom Rally in Dover Delaware on Sunday Jan 20th for anyone near by and interested.
