This is not ment to bash or talk bad about the w-body store. So don't ban me or anything. The point of this post is i guess to shop around? I wouldn't want any of you to purchase somethig when you can get THE EXACT SAME THING for less. There's no point.

Can you catch it??(if you still can't notice the color of the washers. The 2 or 4 outer ones are the same). I can. Photoshop FTW! LOL

    Oreilly's Moog bushings-you will need 2 for a full car. $4.69 each

W-body store- you will only need one at 15.00 bucks each

Not sure if they do this on there swaybar bushings but there made from the same meterial as the Bushings above. Oreilly's doesent have a picture so i couldn't tell.

So there making over 5 bucks on top of the normal markup wich is usually 20-30+ percent on retail stuff.

BTW I was just about to buy these from the w-body store when i HAPPEN to see them at oreilly's while looking for something totally different.

And Mike is still currently oblivious to the fact that he will be contacting me to clear this mess up.

I had heard about this a long time ago on CGP, before you could get the set up at Wbody. I did a fairly nice write up about it on CGP when I ordered not only the beefed up Moog rear end links but also the Moog front sway bar end links from Oreilly's here locally. The rear ones are super sized compared to OEM. The front links came with the urethane bushings and the hardware seemed a bit larger though at the time I could not confirm that.

But Ive been running that set up for a couple of years now.

WBS is a RESELLER! Just about everything on their site is from somewhere else or another GM vehicle.

Well yeah...every one is a reseller..except the actual company that makes the product....

What kind of ticked me off is that they acted like it was a different product then it was and charged over 2 times as much as others were selling it for. They listed them as tdr bushings...now if they would have said moog booshings...then...I would not of said anything.

Yeah...that photoshopped picture was brought up a long while ago. I try my best to catch post with questions about their products so I can point people in teh direction of a place that will sell them cheaper and actually ship them in a decent time.

Scotty I remember this topic being brought up a long time ago also on cgp, same pics and all. In defense of Mike, and all other vendors for that matter, Yes he did photo chop the pics so you know what you are getting. Anyone who isnt marking up parts to sell is wasting time and there is no point in selling anything. The Napa premium end link kits are the same as in the photo just as the Moog kits, I have used them both and both cost in the $8-10 range but I have only found that I need one set and have never even seen individual sides. No vendor is going to list parts for sale and not make something off of them hands down. Does it make it the best deal? Sometimes no as you have seen here and those who know better will go to the local parts store if that is all they need. Another idea to this though as mentioned by Zooomer a long while back is that it is simply a convinience factor here. If you are buying a bunch of other stuff from a given company and you can offer small items like this then most people will just buy it all from one place so you arent wasting time driving around or ordering from multiple places, so you really have to look at it from all angles and in the eyes of the seller. Would you waste $5 in gas to go pick up parts for an order and then come back and sell it for the same you paid for it minus your time and gas money? From a business standpoint you have to factor in things like this. Napa's list price PLUS state sales tax for the kits I use are well over $15. For guys that like to shop around then obviously you know where to get these parts cheaper and also you can have the parts same-day if you have a local parts store. For other guys that are ordering a bunch of parts anyways then its really not a big deal and it will all come in one box.... or should! $4ish a gallon for gas adds up fast! If you had to drive 10 miles one way to the parts store then there is your difference. My personal take is that I dont have time to wait often as I need parts yesterday when I have a car torn apart! I dont like ordering anything I dont have to because I cannot afford the downtime to wait and hope it arrives on time and correct in the box

^^^ Agreed, when I did my top-swap, I bought all the bolts and gaskets and such from one vendor (ZZP) not necessarily cause it was the cheapest, but because It all came together, I didn't have to worry about not getting things on time.....

And W-body store may be a slow shipper, but we need them around, cause the more different companys we have to buy parts from, the cheaper it is for all of us(Price Competition)

On those lines, I always ordered WBS only parts, IC, LCAs, lateral arms, which may be the reason they all took longer then expected to ship.

This is nothing new in my book. WBS does this more than most other 3800 stores out there. But they all do it. A lot of products on ZZP, Intense, 3800Perf, and WBS can be found elsewhere for cheap. And it is the same response from them everytime. They are not trying to pass them off as something else. They buy them, mark them up, and resell them. Sure they cost more, but like Dave said, most people will order everything from one place without the hassle of driving all over town. They might lose a couple bucks. But they save time and gas money.

For me, and a lot of others, I bargain shop as much as possible. I plan my mods and large maintenance projects, create a list of everything I need, then research to find the best prices. I factor in shipping if I am going to order online. If it is something in town I need to pickup locally, I will wait until I am in the neighborhood or passing by and pick it up. In the end, I make out better than ordering from one place. But it takes organization and dedication to do the research, compare prices and technical info, and then buy the parts as I can.
