Get some good wax and give the whole car a good waxing a couple times and you'll be ok. After that if there is any difference, it won't be much and the areas are small enough it won't be notice. Unless your car is just that dull.

I had a revelation while I was walking my dog this evening.
Say you had a rare 69 Z28 camaro with the 302. would you really want to cover that up? Alot of the rides here are GTPs, are they really not considered todays muscle cars? I mean many of the hotrods of the day had just as much HP as our cars, give or take.
Yea you got a GP that badge is obvious, but you got a GTP, GTX, Daytona. common, be proud of what you got. not everyone has one, and in 15 years or so many of them will be scrap.
We all have an image to uphold......domestic baby....YEA....
PS. I am also in favor of losing the side moulding.
I promise you that you will have MORE dings after you take those moldings off. They are actually a deterrent to idiots in parking lots and garages. So, if you are going to do it, just do it. And go ahead and stockpile on the swirl remover.
That should be the motto of this entire thread... lol
Some of you guys think way too much! It's not a life or death thing to do something different, badges can be put back on easier than they come off! The side moldings, however, have holes that appear when you take them off, so body work is needed. I was quoted $1600 to do the side moldings and shave the trunk lock when I hit that deer...
That's the way I see it. If I wake up in the morning with a idea, I'll go do it and if it doesn't turn out like I want it to, I just reverse the process.
I just debadged my GT and it looks cleaner. That and I wont have to spend hours extra cleaning around the badges as I wax and polish my car 3 times a year.
btw, how hard is it to remove the molding? That would be my next step.

I debadged my GTP's and GrandPrix on trunk. Too many people would roll up and see the GTP Supercharged and not want to race...I wasn't getting any attention. Now that I took it off, I actually get more attention and I think it looks very clean.
I did add one of my GTP badges to the trunk because I didn't want to let go of the fact that I wasn't just any Grand Prix, and so that after the race they can see what happened!

my girlfriend was like why are people arguing when they could take them off upload the font on a vinyl cutter and ghost them in so it looks like they have em up close but dont when far away. i was like smart idea i think we will do that when we get it painted again
props to my gf
I debadged my car this mornig, it was really easy, just take some fishing line and that will take the badges right off. Then i used a heat gun and my fingers to get all of the adhiesive off, You will most likely burn your fingers here and there, Then i used goo gone to take the rest off. It looks great. I did both gtp badges on the doors and then i did the grand pix on the trunk lid. Now the only thing is i can still see the grand prix pretty clearly from where the badge has been, and i can kind of see where the gtp badges were but not nearly as bad, Is this where the waxing comes to play ????
