Im on my way to work sitting at a stop light. All of the sudden this HUGE bug flies into my car. It lands inside the car on the right air vent.

At first glance I thought it was maby a dragon fly. A second glance I thought it was a giant horse fly...

The thing moves it body a little bit and its a HUGE fuggin bee! It was jet black. Looked like the thing was geared up for a football game. It was seriously over 2 inches big.

Now mind you im sitting in my car waiting to proceed and there is a giant wasp (i thought it was a hornet at the time) in my car. What do I do?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I take my pack of smokes and reach over and nock the bastard outside. It took a few tries but it eventually got knocked out. Now all my windows are down and im praying this bastard doesnt come back in for the kill, cuz this thing looks like it will put me in the hospital.

So today I looked it up and I come to find out it is called "The Great Black Wasp"

Here are some google pictures of the bastard:

These pictures don't do the justice. This thing was crazy!

Speaking of hornets, anyone seen the hornets attacking bees video? Friggin awesome!

    YouTube - 30 hornets vs. 30,000 bees

Anyway, one day at work we had a grass hopper about four inches long (I kid you not) fly into the truck. At first we thought it was a bird when it flew in so fast. Damn thing was like out of a B film. No danger... just weird.

WOW! That was pretty wicked. Me and a guy at work were talking about bees today when we seen one. How something so small can stop us as big as we are dead in our tracks.

I've got no problem with bees actually. Leave them alone, they leave you alone. But, when I was little I was attacked by wasps. So his friend up there in the pictures would freak me out as I frantically tried to make it an above average sized smear.

Yea, I'm allergic to wasp so when I see them, especially when they pop up in front of me outa no where, it freaks me out a little till they're a good distance away.

    ^^ Lol thats real too.

Zooillogix : The Schmidt Sting Pain Index

    From ^^

1.0 Sweat bee: Light, ephemeral, almost fruity. A tiny spark has singed a single hair on your arm.
1.2 Fire ant: Sharp, sudden, mildly alarming. Like walking across a shag carpet & reaching for the light switch.
1.8 Bullhorn acacia ant: A rare, piercing, elevated sort of pain. Someone has fired a staple into your cheek.
2.0 Bald-faced hornet: Rich, hearty, slightly crunchy. Similar to getting your hand mashed in a revolving door.
2.0 Yellowjacket: Hot and smoky, almost irreverent. Imagine W. C. Fields extinguishing a cigar on your tongue.
2.x Honey bee and European hornet: Like a matchhead that flips off and burns on your skin.
3.0 Red harvester ant: Bold and unrelenting. Somebody is using a drill to excavate your ingrown toenail.
3.0 Paper wasp: Caustic & burning. Distinctly bitter aftertaste. Like spilling a beaker of hydrochloric acid on a paper cut.
4.0 Pepsis wasp: Blinding, fierce, shockingly electric. A running hair drier has been dropped into your bubble bath.
4.0+ Bullet ant: Pure, intense, brilliant pain. Like fire-walking over flaming charcoal with a 3-inch rusty nail in your heel.

    ^^ Bullet ant.

Found this out about his huge visitor friend:

What to do if one has wandered indoors:

    * Turn out the lights in succession (starting at the back of the room andmoving the line of dimness toward the door) encourages it to fly back outside toward the sunlight.

    * Unless physically disturbed, they won't bother you, so don't try to shoo them toward the door. Although they generally ignore people, at that point you may become a target.

    * Flyswatters are unlikely to be sufficient, and just irritate the insect. Once aggravated, they will sting.
    No joke!

    I like this thing:

The one I posted drinks nectar and is harmless to humans (at least the females as in the picture are). Males are very rare and try to avoid humans, though they can sting. Not particularly nasty.

The long tail is for laying eggs in burrows.
