Thread: can someone show me a write up?

Go to the auto parts store and get you a Haynes manual. It will show you how to do it and with a couple pictures. That thing helps with a lot of common stuff with the car. If you can't find one, say something and if nobody else has, I'll do a quick, but to the point write up for you.

Open hood, Find radiator hose that goes to the top of the engine. Undo the clamp for the hose on the engine side.Pull hose off of the water neck. Undo the 2 10mm bolts that hold the water neck to the engine. Pull water neck off of engine. Replace gasket o-ring before you reinstall everything. Take thermostat out of the water neck (pops out) . And reverse removal instructions for installation.Why do you want a 180 thermostat?

why would you not want a 180* t-stat? it helps a ton with keeping the engine cool. the only downside is slight decrease in mileage.

well mine is a dd and i have had no code yet. I recalling seeing something about that that happens mainly on 04+ models. i think it says that on zzp's site. Man it's soo hot down here that my stop and go temps are still in the 200's lol
