Could'nt find protective wrap easily or cheap, SO I went with the blue stuff. Hauling the car to Florida, Hopefully this prevents some chips or scratches.

Wow, thats a **** load of tape, but I bet it works good!
When I go on road trips (Like I am here shortly) I use a car bra and at the edges I use this clear no residue tape and I add a few strips on the fenders and the mirrors and the front pillars, works great! My dad has been using the stuff for years and so have I.
Thats a sick azz hood... Looks like a ws6 hood.
Here you go Freebeer:
97-03 Pontiac Grand Prix Fiberglass Hoods from Extreme_Dimensions at Andy's Auto Sport
Mine is a ASCD hood but you cant buy from them anymore. Hood new was about 800 bucks plus shipping. I think it was 685 on sale at one time. The ASCD hood is a full functioning ram air hood. I was lucky and bought mine off a demodded car.
The duraflex hood is the only producer now as far as I know. I havent seen one and have no idea the quality or the functionality of that brand.
Exactly, I tried that with my T/A once and it beat the crap out of the car. Messed up the clear coat in many spots. Plus a quality car cover is expensive, why risk damaging it, or ruining it. I spent 10 bucks in tape and about 30 minutes of time. Also now I have the peace of mind that while I'm driving I know a cover isnt flapping around in the wind behind my moving truck.
I know I didnt either until it was too late. I wanted to kick my own ass LOL
I also wondered why people were looking so hard at the car in tow. I figured they were just trying to figure out what was under the cover. Nice how nobody waved to me or tried to signal me there was any kind of issue.
