Thread: Does it feel like Christmas to you?

Simple poll, just wanted to know...

Not really. Their isn't any snow here at all and it just feels like another day to me.

Then again, I'm at work, so that could be why...

is "Christmas" supposed to feel like? Is it not just another day of the year?

If you're asking what I think of this winter so far, I think it kicks ass! The past few days I've been driving the racecar with the sunroof wide open and the windows cracked. That's the best Nebraska winter I can remember so far.

I think he's referencing the overall aura or atmosphere this time of year usually presents.

I was talking about this with some family and friends last week, and everyone seemed to agree it doesn't feel like Christmas time. Weather aside, I don't see nearly as many lights and decorations up in my area this year, no one is really talking about it, etc. Like dmah said, besides the disastrous traffic the last few days (ESPECIALLY on Christmas Eve), there was nothing to indicate Christmas was here. A sign of the times to me.

Sadly this is exactly the kind of response I was expecting. Even without the snow it just doesn't feel like Christmas should be here. Not sure why though...perhaps it is just another sign of the times as Rare said.
