Eh, it's just a GT. If you can pick it up for $400-500, maybe. Then sell it for $1500. But its always a gamble on what you will find. Definitely worth going and looking at. But nothing you are going to clear a couple Gs.
I saw that.
Hers's the issue. Most likely the UIM let go and filled the cylinders with coolant. Depending on how many times they have tried to start it and held the starter..dry bearings, hyrdolocked motor and the starter trying to mash the crank around to compress that water further.
it might need a motor.
ouch... i was lookin for another deal like i got with my car, 500$ needed brakes all around and lim. thanks to you mr boost i got thru that one with no issues at all.
It's localish and I saw it ..uh yesterday? Sounds like a classic UIM. Personally, I'd pick it up, pull the UIM, plug the coolant ports and put the UIM back on it. Try and drive it. if the bearings are going to be bad, they'd likely go bad in under 500 miles.
Even if it was bad, a low mileage L26 is only about $300 in our area. So if you did the labor yourself. It could be a good car for $900
Wont turn over but trys to start...lol.

I read into most ads, kinda like I do most posts. A lot of the time I'm right and might pick up on something small that is a key symptom. I'd go look at it. Can't hurt to look. Then if it's low on coolant and won't turn over, offer the guy just more than the junkyard would. IIRC JY's are only paying about $100 for you to tow it in.
