The way this works is when Brandon uses his southern-isms and you aren't sure what they mean or you think they need to be added to the brandonl2000 dictionary of the south post up.

Cut a Shine (Kut eh sh eye-n)
To act outward in an effort to set things straight, generally used when someone doesn't give you the proper services or goods you have paid them for.
"I was gon have ta go down ta that tire shop n cut a shine"
    Similar Phrases: "Cut up".
Per Brandon "additonal similar phrase, "cut up sideways!" cut up sideways is the more extreme of cut up. you are straight acting a fool cuttin up sideways "

In Oklahoma... we like guns... phrased as "You couldn't hit the broad side of the barn with a scatter gun."

See Brandon, now you know why I can never understand you. Apparently, I'm not the only one who thinks this, if we have to make a thread devoted to your word usage.

I agree on the north part. I have to talk to customers from Canada at work and some of them are almost impossible to understand. A guy was spelling out his postal code and was telling me Z but i can't even being to say how he said it and then how he thought we said Z which wasn't close.
Anywho, yes this thread will be appreciated to understand what you mean
