so i took my car for the emission test and pass it. i was when pulling my car in. i thought they going to look under the car, but i was wrong. they hooked it up to the obd ll and it only took like a minute for the read out. wow what a relief. when i got home i found a note on my garage. man i can't believe how can anybody complain. i didn't have a resonator last year and my car was way louder than now and nobody said anything. i don't even drive the car that much, only on weekend and sometime nice sunny day. anybody ever have problem like this? my friend said there's really nothing cop can do.

first off, CONGRATS on passing. 2ndly.....I would put a Note on your front Garage Door that says in BIG BOLD letters.

    NOPE!

yeah, I have neighbors which are lawyers. they have called the City on me, as well as the Police. whenever they do this to me...I somehow bring one of my loud cars back home..... I get home VERY early in the morning...and I do see some lights turn on.

If you have a noise ordinance....and you are within it..Cops cannot do anything. HOWEVER..if you are in violation...they will just tell you to be a little more quiet.

Glad to hear you passed your emissions test! On the other hand.....

man i can't believe how can anybody complain.
I cant believe it took them this long lol. Your car sounds like an NHRA pro stocker!!! It sure does sound nice but I would have a lot of unhappy neighbors lighting that thing off every morning! All of our close neighbors are pretty cool about everything, its the odd ones that you have to watch out for. Last year we had a big 4th of July party and had tons of fireworks. We had our party the weekend before since the 4th was on a thursday iirc, anyways new laws allowed shooting off fireworks which includes out of state fireworks until 2 hours after sun down which is about 9-9:30 here in the summer since we are on eastern time now. At 10 PM sharp one of our strange neighbors came down to complain about the noise and asked if we were about done and I told him we were just getting started. The he nicely said well if you keep lighting them off the cops will likely be called because there is a 10 PM noice ordinance in city limits. I told him to go ahead and call the cops because we already called ourselves to verify the hours. The dissappointment on his face when he realized we werent in the wrong and he was! Well wouldnt you know it.... about 11:45, roughly 30-45 minutes after we were done shooting off everything a cop pulls up as everyone is out front by the street! I walked right up to him and said hey man we quit shooting stuff off a while ago and there is nothing wrong with it anyways and his reply was "We didnt get a call about fireworks, some neighbors complained about loud yelling and music" I about went off!!! There was NO loud yelling or music, the assbag neighbor had to make something up since there was nothing he could do legitly about the fireworks being used within the allotted time. Then I look at the officers laptop in his car and plain as day it has the address from which the complaint call was made. Go figure, it was a different neighbor across the street that hadnt lived their 6 months yet and probably was talking to the other guy and whipped up that magic BS idea to call us in. We have been having 4th of july parties and lighting off big loud stuff for a number of years and normally other neighbors watch! All it takes is one A-hole neighbor to piss you off and it was his lucky day! He even gave my next door neighbor crap once for lighting something off in the middle of the day and was been a hard-a$$ about it. If you dont like subdivision or neighborhood life pal then you can move! Anyways man I know how agrevating it is for some idiot to whine, I try to keep everything pretty low key around here because they apperently get bent out of shape too easy.

firework is illegal here, but everybody still light them up. my buddy is having a party on saturday and we going to make some big noise to piss off some neighbor. couple weeks ago we had a party at his house and lit off few fireworks and someone call the cop. cop came over twice. the cop was cool about it he told us to put the fireworks away. it's funny cause his next door neighbor is a cop and he didn't care.

i think i find out who left the note there. there's an old lady who live in the lower 3 flat building behind the garage. i think she would be the only person who would complain cause her window is next to the garage. i try to stay low key too, not trying to cause any problem. i'm going to still drive my car when ever i want and not letting this one person bother me.
