Man, seeing a lot of these going lately. Ive had some ideas about hybrid motor mount (poly and solid rubber), Im going to have to at some point start experimenting and see if I can come up with anything that might work a little better.

Why not just buy a solid mount?

I think a solid mount would be a little jarring to say the least. If I thought I could dampen out the vibrations elsewhere or somehow then perhaps. I have a solid rubber mount on mine and on the tranny and it was not to bad. Actually the polly upper mounts made more vibrations than anything else.

Ive seen some examples of hybrid mounts in other applications, basically a poly/rubber sandwich type set up that by all reports worked well at keeping the vibrations down but still giving the solid feel of an all poly mount.

I suppose a lot of it also is from the durometer of the poly you use as well.

yeah my polly uppers did make a huge difference lol...kinda scared me away from doing anything solid elsewhere.

well for the bottoms are not bad at all. you can run the solid and still have no vibration. the Cradle has rubber bushings that absorb all the vibration with anything going down to it.

The upper ones that bolt directly to the core support.....that is where you get all the vibration...it bolts to the body of the car itself.

not that any of you already knew that....

I had no noticeable difference in vibration with the solid motor mount I just put in. FWIW.
