YouTube - 2x4 through my windshield...
HOLY ****!
|
good lord man
almost had a similar situation because the idiot in front of me had a table in the bed of his truck on top of a bunch of other junk. The table was above the bed, legs up, COMPLETELY UNSECURED. and it was really windy out that day. Table took flight right at me, I slowed down, focus behind me hit me and bounced off. I was able to slow down enough though so the table landed just in front of the car. And it was a kitchen table size, not a small coffee table.
After it replayed 3 or 4 times I quit jumping when it hit. That ****s crazy. I have had to dodge stuff on the highways before. So many stupid people don't think about the force of 70+ mph winds and furniture, Luckily I have good reactions and leave enough room to move and brake.
Also it does look real but that trailer didnt even move when it hit it. you would think that it would have skipped.
Most nicer trailers like that one have decent suspension built on to it for potholes and rough spots in the road. Had it been a solid axle bolted the frame like the older ones it would have jumped up as it rolled over it.
If you watch the slow motion version on youtube you can tell when the truck hit it because there a slight amount of movement before the 2x4 appears and gets ran over.
i always wonder why people take random videos...do they try and get 2X4s flung at them and when it happens then they run home and post it on youtube? seemed like it didnt make much sense to film, maybe ill start lol...
It happened 3 years ago and I only had the car 2 months. I think I killed it, or hope I did. It did some damage, I can't imagine what the goose woulda felt like. I looked for it after and never did see it. I had my sunroof open and had just shut it, or im pretty sure it would have landed inside the car the way it skidded across the roof. That woulda been bad news for the interior.
I kept jumping when I watched this video. It does seem kinda strange to just take random videos and happen to catch that happening...
geese have this weird idea that if one thinks its ok to take off the rest should just follow, so this flock started to do the run and start to fly as im driving and they are crossing the road, one just missed my driver side window, and the next one gets nailed by the ladder racks leg on the back of my truck, and falls into the back of my truck, "dead" the force these things have is insane, the whole truck rocked like crazy, then i had to pull over and remove the body, not fun.
