so i just did some research and found out that the brakes are 12" rotors like the impala and pads are the same also that it does have a u bend so that will be removed anything else it seems there pretty much the same
The intrigue is a neat car. Intrigue98 (member here) is a local and I'm kinda familiar with the car.
You could have dual heated seats, cool instrumentation, electric fuel door pop, different look over all the other W bodies (which are a lot more common), all the suspension parts fit. IIRC 98 and 99 were both 3.8L's correct?, Same trans..
we have a 2000 intrigue, with a 3.5 twin cam. its a really nice comfortable car, we had it since it was new and no major issues, the interior is holding up very well all original for 11 years, no rips, tears, very little fad
well we whent and looked at it and he bought it its a 1999 has 226000km not miles and the tranny was replaced and only has 34000 km new batt and rear struts and he got it for $1500 next step is he wants me to paint his brakes cause he likes mine and he wants to get it tinted i told him we should do a lim gasket before it goes so we are gunna do that i have spare lim and uim all that from my old gp so i am going to port those get a tune for him u bend delete and cone filter and just polish up his fuel rails should be a good car for him
Intrigue 98 is the only one that ever asked DHP to open up that year. From what I know..I don't believe the 99 year has any support at all.
well my dad gave me the ok to do some work on his car parts list is lim gasket
u bend delete
poly dog bone mounts
plugs
t stat drilled 180 deg
coolant elbows
injector orings
oil
filter
and he wants his calipers caliper brackets and rotor hat painted since he like mine i am also going to gasket match his lim well its apart also since i have a spare intake insert i am going to trim the runners like a hv3 and polish the fuel rails for fun and put a cone filter on should put it from 195 hp to 210-215
dont use the 180 thermo. You will not gain anything, you will lose. Its a old school trick that cars nowadays dont use. The car will run better on the 195* and gas mileage will be better also.

fuel economy doesnt matter my dad just wants it incase of a failure the coolant still flows
