I started in 2003 and barely got into it because of some bad decisions on my part. Not sure if I wanna do the same thing I did or go for something else now.. Sigh lol

where is the rest of the story? (where are you going? what do you want to major in? why did you drop out in the first place? are you going back full time?)
this thread is about as useless as ass hair right now.
Well, I started out with the intentions of completeing a two year degree in "computer technology". The course had 65 credit hours to complete and I finished a total of 12. I was working full-time, fifty to fifty five hours a week, for a company called Flowserve in the shipping department. I was making sometimes around 900 to 1000 every two weeks because of the overtime I was putting in. I met a girl and we moved in together. I felt like I needed a break so I let her convince me to spend my tution on a trip. That was the end of college. I continued to work at Flowserve as we got married. We had a child in May of 2007 and we separated in May of 2008. I got laid off from Flowserve in April of 2009. The divorce for us was final in April of 2010. I have been giving child support since the day we went our own ways. I live check to check right now at a dead end job and I am miserably broke. I am going back because I want to make a better future for myself, my son, and girlfriend that I care very much for. I would be in a world of trouble if I did not have her. She is a R/N at the local hospital in the ER.
I love to build computers and work on them. I wish I had the ability to program, but not to the extent to sit around all the time and do it for a living. I love to drive and have even considered a job in truck-driving. I just want to go somewhere, but I have not narrowed it down yet.
I did complete my FASFA about 10 minutes ago though.
Another reason for me not to get married..... atleast not when im young lol. But I am very happy for you that you wish to further your education again. Computer field is kind of hard from what I heard. And my info is coming from a Dell computer technician who had to fix my laptop. But I say go for it man! Dont let anyone stop you from accomplishing your dreams. best of luck to you and the kid!
Make sure you earn your degree in something that pays!!! Figure out what type of lifestyle you want to live and work from there. I knew a Biology major that had $100,000 in student loans and the job she had after graduation payed $8 per hour. You have to like what you do and be reasonably good at it, what makes you great is your attitude and drive.
