well i started the insanity workout today but hopefully by time it's done with i will gain some muscle and be tone. if i can put on 15 pounds of muscle that would be nice
is that that dvd bullcrap insanity? 15lbs of muscle LOL. You understand thats ALOT of muscle to build. Idiots at the gym cant even gain 5lbs in 12 months. If you can gain 15lbs of muscle in a year your doing something extremely correct.
toned: muscle with low body fat
want muscle lift weights.
want "tone" lift weights do cardio and count your cals and macros.
Here I was preaching about stretching/rehab-ing enough, and had to cut tonight's skwat workout a few sets short because my low back was cramping up. Whoops.
I'm doing Insanity at the moment. Good luck gaining while doing it, you need to add a buttload of calories in order to gain on it.
This coming Monday will be a full three weeks for me. In that time, I've lost around 8lbs. Due to the amount of squats and butt kicks, my calves seem to have doubled in size, rest of me is toning up nicely and from the pushups/ground work, upper body is doing well also.
This weeks challenge to Nick is 1,000 calories in the hour plus cooldown on the 100i.
maybe...hah. i just dont like it because after 15 minutes the front half of my feet fall asleep because my entire body weight is on them the entire time. i don't know how to remedy that.
i lifted last night which helped me to stretch out some tight spots from all the running i've been trying to do. i think my next run is gonna be good. i feel loose and ready to go back.
the leg press machine had a plethora of women that wanted to get on it yesterday and lift ****ing nothing so instead of waiting i decided to just go lean against a wall and do some wall sits to work out the quads. good choice. 5 sets of 20 seconds kicked my ass.
That's because the leg press machine isn't for men. Or any human for that matter - they're gross for the back and knees and nobody ever got strong using one. Hop in the squat rack. Or heck, do air squats - Indians got huge without a squat rack doing thousands of unweighted squats every day.
If you're not using more than your bodyweight, wouldn't air squats be your better option anyway?
Started taking my SizeOn again.
I take that while working out and after I drink my protein shake. Not sure why I did this, but I added Monohydrate to my protein shake.
SizeOn already has 4mg of Mono while Monohydrate has 5mg per serving. Add the two together and I ingested 9mg of Mono today.
I feel like complete ass. Worst stomach ever, constantly feel like im going to puke.
Lesson learned and learn from my mistake, don't ever take over 5mg of mono in one day.
my first job as a pastry cook and i lost about an inch off my stomach. all my pants are loose now
LOL
Didn't you say you were trying to gain? Unless you are a small girl.. that intake is likely going to drop weight off you. I had to add calories in last week. Was craving and started to notice I didn't have enough energy. Metabolism has definately kicked things up.
Insanity is going well. Did a little normalish eating this weekend. It's funny how I transitioned to eating their suggested w/o issue. Eating other stuff I don't have the energy. Clearly something was missing.
Did an arcade game challenge this weekend. I have a little side business, real games, full size. Had 7 (buddy had 13) in a local place that closed and locked the doors suddenly. We got the go ahead to pick the stuff up suddenly Saturday right after I finished the Plyo circuit. Today I can feel it. Although it went very well. 350-500 lb games are fun.
Meanwhile, I've dropped a couple more pounds. 188-189lbs the last couple of days.

I've been eating pizza, meatball subs, tomato pie, and other such nonsense for the past couple days. I'm not even Italian.
Tonight, I doubled the number of reps I do at my working weight (82%) on squat like it was nothing. It amazes me how rammy and hostile I get when I start eating carbs again. That was too much fun.
Found a calculator that seems to agree with my findings on caloric intake for maintenance. Might be of use to you cats.
Activity level: 2-3 workouts/week, 4-5 workouts/week, and active job + workouts
