good thing to start i started mine last year and have never been more serious about something... i have dropped over 70lbs so far and am trying to lose the last 30! Good luck!
How would one bulk up without gaining fat? Possible?
I need to bulk up but right now i am just working on my abs by doing ab ripper x and running and it seems to be working pretty well.
Do not drink diet soda, it actually isn't very good for you. There are chemicals in it that are as of yet not known as to what they do to you. Plus it tastes like piss! Be a man and drink water/milk/Orange Juice/ Apple Juice/ Energy drinks. All very good drinks! I only have maybe a soda a month, have lost the taste for it. Oh an dim 6'3 and 150. So i dont need to diet
my goal is to keep my weight and eating habits the same.
Is sugar free kool-aid bad for you? That's pretty much all I drink.

i want to stay around my current weight of ~ 260. but i want to cut the fat and build more muscle. I was around 240 of near solid muscle in highschool and never felt better i was a beast, fast and powerful, i gave countless concussions to those poor defensive ends on pulls lol. since then ive really grown restless and since my knee isnt a problem any more im thinking of joing a local football team.
oh and i think we should update with new posts to keep the thread in the new post area. that way well see it more, more motivation.
age-18
height-5'10"
start weight- ~160
end current weight-
Goals- shed about a inch and a half of fat off my stomach, build muscle pretty much everywhere, weigh around 180.
current habits- gym about 5 times a week, little cardio if any, eat a tuna sandwhich every day, a couple servings of milk, rarely eat breakfast, and have whatever is being served for dinner and a couple snacks or something when i can (yogurt, granola bars, whatever)
know a lot of people that are using this formula and have developed the so-called six pack. no, this is not a miracle guide, but these exercises help a lot.
Get a Wii fit and trash this thread. =P
Running doesn't build muscle very fast (and a lot of cardio hurts mass gains), which is where "bulk" lives. As a fattycakes, I've always worked out from the opposite end, but if I were a skinny lad, I'd probably do weight training in pyramids on Squats, Calf Raises, Bench Press, Pull Ups, Dips, Bicep Curls, Military Press, and Crunches - no more than 5 hours a week. Don't forget to eat hearty but clean - your natural skinny guy metabolism will crush calories.
Jealous: I miss being able to eat like that... Now I eat a hard boiled egg or a banana, or a little oatmeal - Can't justify the big meal when I'm not training like I should.
