Need help, laptop replacement!?

Looking for a new laptop, I'm a big fan of Thinkpads, so if anyone has any suggestions in the IBM family, that would be greatly appreciated!


I'm running a T-20 right now, for basic internet browsing and scanning/logging with my P-tuner.

Any suggestions? I was looking at a T-60, but they have a lot of processor / memory options and I don't know which one will suit me.

Replacement NEEDS to have a serial port, or the ability to add one (like the IBM's ultrabay stuff).

I also prefer windows XP over 7 or vista

Strictly a garage machine, used for PT data logging and editing, web browsing, nothing crazy.

I was looking on here: but their are a lot of different model numbers with different prices...me scared!

Pick a price maximum, pick a screen size, make sure you have at least 3 gigs of ram and just get the biggest numbers on other stuff you can until you hit your price ceiling.
