well after a bit of rain this morning here in Pittsburgh i was actually able to get a few things done to the ol GP

Polished up the fuel rails a bit (still work needing to be done, but they came out pretty nice with some fine sandpaper/ aluminum polish)

also got my dogbones and braces shining up a little. and installed my strut brace. love when things are that easy to install. i know i still have to remove the sticker crap...eventually

oh and its definitely great to be a part of this community. and i love having this new hobby

Picked up an assortment pack of wet/dry sandpaper or 220/320/400 grit. i used the 400 on the fuel rails but could definitely go into the 600 and 800's and eventually into the thousands to get real crazy on them. for example check out Chad's (GTP SE) engine... now thats nice

and credit to him and Larry (chitownchevy) for making me want to attempt it in the first place

the stickers will come off of the STB very easily if you heat them with a hair dryer and peal them right off. If you leave them on too long under the hood they may bake on and be a pain.

The glue under them is the killer. I got the stickers off before installing, but the glue stayed for a little over a year. I finally used some Goo-gone and it came right off.
