my gp is in the shop getting its transmission rebuilt, but before it went in i started noticing that at a complete stop, if i put my foot on the gas even slightly the car would drag like the tires got no traction, does this sound like it could be somehow related to the transmission or what? i started noticing it a few months ago a few days after it snowed and it would do it every so often since then until i brought it in

Sounds like your brakes could be sticking. Try turning your traction control off and see if it does the same thing. The traction control could be putting your brakes on and then they are sticking.

with calipers... the pads are always in contact with the rotors.

Could be a million in one causes for this issue. Just wait till you get your tranny back in and see if its still there.
