Sure, it's easy to scoff at it today, but for it's time, 215hp/220lb-ft ('96 & '97) out of a 3.4L was pretty impressive. By comparison, we have a website full of people who think the world of a 3.8L *supercharged* motor that puts out an entire 240hp. That's only 25 more hp out of a bigger motor that has the HUGE advantage of forced induction. Also, the LQ1s respond VERY well too boost. Well over 300whp is the norm even with just 6 or 7 lbs when turboed.Quote:

These engines put out more torque than horsepower, and stock they put out 280ft/lbs. So either he's retarded or they did something wrong. I'm leaning towards a combination of both.

How does a photo of the blower off indicate a performance modification? I had to take my blower off to change intake gaskets, does this mean if I would have taken pictures of it on my floor is be at my 300hp goal already!
