depends on your build and if theres a quality shop in your area that can do port work and know 3800's

The better the flow the better the performance and the better you can pick a cam and so on

Ported heads cost money thats all there is to it zzp and wbody also offer cnc heads for a little less i believe

    ??? Thinking he's talking about

Stage 1: pcm tune, intake, pulley, plugs
Stage 2: rockers and valvesprings.... so on and so forth as the kits get more and more

In which case, no it's not worth the money at all. Kit comes with a 3.4 MPS but doesn't mention or include the exhaust mods needed haha. I guess they just want you to blow. Unless ofcourse you are talking about their cam/head kits.. Ignore everything I just said

In general the 04+ GenV cars can not run as small of a pulley as the 97-03 Gen3 cars with the same modifications due to the GenV being more efficient and making more power out of the box.

Dont do it. I ordered the Stage 4 Heads and Cam package from Intense a month or so ago. Sent it all back for ZZP CNC Heads and XPZ build. Hell the 899 CNC heads are completely and i mean every nook and cranny clean. The IS4 Heads had grime still caked in corners and spray painted over. Hell in the drop down for the package I selected Rollmaster Double Roller and received a JP set. They sent a damn GM Timing Chain Damfener when i was going to be doing a Double Roller. Dont Do it. Just take my little experience and go about a better route. Hell get some heads ported cheap off the forum or take your heads in to be ported for half the price and go with say an IS2 or IS3 cam or XPZ or damn custom grind. Its all what u prefer.

EVERYTHING IS THE SAME...minus the pulley drop and the tuning...you have to get a 04-05 PCM to tune your car otherwise the gas gauge will read in reverse.

As for the pulley drop it is nothing but running a little larger of a pulley because of the Gen V vs. the Gen III...look at it like this...since the Gen V is more efficient than the Gen III, you don't need as much boost to make as much power...therefore it creates less heat and is less parasitic than a Gen III.

    3.4" on a Gen III = 3.6" on a Gen V
    3.2" on a Gen III = 3.4" on a Gen V

Follow? Everything about our cars are the same really minus those two things...

i have no idea why everyone wants to hop on the ported head train. unless you are running some high boost i would only suggest a smoothing of the runners/polishing of the combustion chamber.

Well it does matter. If you are not modded extensively it will actually hurt you. Same principle as hogging out the blower too much... you gain flow but you lose air velocity, important to the filling of the cylinders.

so what your saying is that i should order the 2005 overkill pcm for my 07 gt after i have done the suggested in the mod write up. which includes 180t stat, 104 lites, installing zzp headers, HV3 Upper Insert, Ported Throttle Body, Ported Supercharger Case, then take it down to a 3.4 pulley? did i get it right?

Re read it again...you should see what what happens when someone tries to install a HV3 on a supercharged car...

And ported heads only HELP you...they really can't hurt you....especially with flow mods such as headers
