I dont know about you but I was looking forward to all the stupid commercials!!!! like OMG!!!! didnt realize there was even a show between them.
I mean com on could we get more commercials?!?!?!?! PLEASE!??!?!?!?

Yeah, I thought the story line was okay. I liked the voice of KITT as well, but I dont know that I am going to be able to get past the fact they used a Ford. Maybe its just me, I dunno. I kept waiting for them to show the old KITT. They talked about it some but I would have loved to have seen it in the show. Not that it would have made me liked it any more.

they had K.I.TWO.T within the first 5min..they showed the TPI motor....and a car cover..
kinda sad really.

Yeah, I caught that and I really thought they were going to show it there. But alas, that was all they showed. Im sure Ford put a strangle hold on showing anything that would have identified the former KITT as a competing brand.

Their were way too many Ford cars in this show. Every time a car went by it was a new Ford of some kind.
At the end I was waiting for the Hoff to drive off in the Trans Am KITT from the old show

it's being done like the show viper was, ford is funding it from what I gather, so they have the rights to use whatever cars they want (you can bet a 3rd gen ta or camaro will be blown up if it becomes a series though)

I had fun watching it. I mean lets recap the first 10 minutes of the show. You know find out the FBI agent is a Lesbian, and that Mike is a man whore with two chics in his bed lol. I was like hummmmmmmmmmmmm ok. Definitely a different departure from the old.
I did enjoy watching the Mustang. I think we are just blinded by our Pontiac love, but I tried to look past it and I actually had fun watching it. What was really funny was how they wasted the GM SUV when Mike skidded KITT sideways and the SUV rammed it. WOWZA! Talk about wasted!!! That was pretty good!!!
The acting was definitely not top notch, but it was fun and I was able to get past it.
It will be interesting to see if they bring out the Series after this movie. I am sure a lot is hedging on the ratings to truly determine if the show will be picked up.
Out of 5 stars, I gave it 3 out of 5.

Yeah, no kidding, I was ready to turn it off after all that. Definitely a departure as you stated from what the original series was. With how the world has changed since the original series, there is definitely a lot of material for them to work with but they could leave the lesbian and man whore stuff out as far as I am concerned.Originally Posted by GeddyLee

maybe thats why they are going bankrupt. I dont know what they were thinking when they made that. I know Pontiac had The Last ride....which is basicly the basis for this Ford movie.

the acting may not have been that great, ---i mean in the original pilot, when michael was shot in the shoulder-- he was shot in the right shoulder, but in alternating scenes, he had a gunshot wound to the LEFT shoulder.... but at least in this one the special effects were pretty sweet... can't say im diggin val kilmer's voice as KITT, though....
and as for the ford stuff... that's gonna kill this show if it gets picked up. the ONLY car/truck that i saw that wasnt ford of some form was the yukon.

to be quite fair---transformers was as gm based as this show is ford based. it just so happens the cars in transformers looked a little nicer

I'm a GM person, but loved the new car as I did the original. The show - I don't think it will last long.

Transformers may have been GM based, but so was the original Knight Rider. Thats what makes this so bad in my opinion. They take a classic show and just destroy it using a Ford. There was any number of vehicles in the Pontiac house that could have filled the bill as the KITT replacement. The GTO and the G8 come to mind.
Oh well, Im not bitter about it, really. My wife keeps laughing at me, but she doesnt realized how much the original Knight Rider cemented my love for Pontiac. I liked Pontiac before that but that show just finalized the love affair.
It is such a known fact with me (my love of Pontiac) that after getting rid of my last car and buying the Grand Prix, a friend of mine that owned the same vehicle and was also a customer of mine stated when I told him I had bought the Grand Prix "You finally went back home". I thought, yeah, yeah I have.

I love cars just as much as the next person. But for many, the original Knight Rider is locked to Pontiac. Its more than just a love of cars. I can appreciate all cars. I have a fair amount of respect for the Cobra, I just probably wouldnt own one. Its a brand loyalty thing too.
It would be like bringing back the Dukes of Hazzard show and using a Toyota Matrix instead of the General Lee.
