i want a low milage ls1 motor and the motor is alot cheaper than having a ws6 if its a direct fit its much cheaper i can easily find a 94+ t/a for 1500 and for a grand or two for the engine and tranny and i put it in myself thats 5 grand and under thats alot cheaper for a 98+ ws6 for at least 10k. Oh and i want the ws6 ram air hood soo yeah its still cheaper than buyinng one outright
Your going to spend mopre money doing a swaplike that than you are buying a car with it already in it.
Were talking about computer wiring harnesses...The list goes on.
X2...its like a SR20 Red Top swap in a KA24DE n/a S13 car. MUCHO wiring and not to mention all the other crap you would have to go through that isn't worth the trouble...PLUS...the post LT1 body styled F-Body's Look way better. IF you can get a cheap LS1/Tranny then drop it in a 280Z or something...or a Porsche 944 Just find a good body car and those things would run like no ones business.
i have a friend with a 97 t/a with a 383 stroker. If you can find a junkyard with a decent selection, that would be the best way to go. actually i think you can even buy kits to do such a mod.
Buying a LT1 car that cheap is going to have alot of problems. Period. You'll have to rebuild the whole car along with your ls swap.
Do a quick search on your swap idea, people have done it but theres no real point unless you already have an f-body built.
just buy a decent lt1 car, throw some mods at it and convert the front end or buy a well used LS1 car and rebuild the motor and save yourself alot of time and money. Don't even bother with the ws6 package, aftermarket suspension pieces are better anyway.
SuperHawk hood rules all btw.
