ClubGP Message Forum troubleshooting
Let's see how she goes.

your intentions were just....in answering his question I take it they have already edited your first post....and you went back and changed it.
I'd say they are going to edit the posts or delete the topic when they wake up
When I get up in the mornings, one of the things I get around to doing is coming to the Laptop and checking on the site (make sure UR LOSN hasnt caught me in number of posts, etc, LOL). I like to see how many, if any, people signed up on the site and then go to the introductions and make sure I welcome them. I miss a couple here and there, but I get most of them.
Well I check this morning and find that some 14 people have signed up, which is odd. Normally is just a few people a day, which is good, its slow but steady growth. So while checking the site I find this post and then it all make sense.
Well you just replied to the post, and I certainly hope you dont get banned for that. Our goal here is just to provide an alternative. We all have our opinions, as I do, on what life is like over at CGP and thats fine. Just keep it respectful. But, having seen this now, I realize a couple things.
1. The word has not been put out there enough about this site because there are still plenty that do not know about it.
2. We need to do more to get the word out there.
Anytime a post shows up over there that our site gets mentioned in or pointed to, our membership takes a leap which to me is a good thing. But I also dont care to have any type of forum war. Simply put I hope that this site is good enough and better to such a degree that it slaps you when you visit here. That the contrast is so great that you see clearly the great place we have here.
I will let that speak for itself.
But its obvious that as a community here we need to do more about getting the word out about this site. There appears to still be a large number that dont know about this place. So if you know people that havent heard about this site, email them, testify about your experience here. Dont spam CGP, but spread the word one on one. Be respectful but honest. They will either want to check out the site or they wont.
I'm going to post this here too so that I'm sure the GPF Admin can see and read it..
A note to the Admin of GPF... I'd like to point out some of the new members you are getting are being brought over here by GPONA... I know one of the GPF Admin guys sent a letter to the GPONA admin asking to stop posting links here back to GPONA.. I think we are helping each other by crossing members... GPONA is NOT CLUBGP neither is GPF...
So why is it that we can not work together for the common good of the GP Community??
5***** for post...
And i don't think you will be as it was covered by more then just you,
if this was the case we have at least 5 if not more on there way over here..
So WTG lol
Well i don't understand why anyone would get band
for writing down a link to another Grand Prix club or forum...
why would they being as they are just that sites about our rides...
If this is the case are we all in trouble also for the Different club sigs we have ?
The reason this club is here is for the members to learn from each other
and to hopfully pass this information on down the line...
Were the hell would we be if we're so high and mighty that we can't learn
anything from other groups be it they come here or we go there ... sheeesh.
I say grow the f...ck up and act like men instead of little pi..s....s ants..
And to further say this club is here and like this not because of one Person...
It only takes one or 2 to start a club but don't ever leave out the members...
because that is the club no members no club...
My 2 cents worth

I wont go into details in the forum other than to say I believe some misunderstanding took place with that event/issue.
I haven't contacted the person directly but have tried to get word to the member involved that I would like to see if we could discuss the matter and work things out. We are a growing forum and there will be things that come up that force us to look at things closer and in more detail so that we have a unified approach and so the each and every person here is treated in fairness and with respect. This was one such event. But that requires the same attitude on both parties.
We can work together and we should work together. But sometimes, it must be understood that we may need to pause for a moment to make sure we proceed with wisdom and complete understanding of the situation and outcomes. Our focus here is to lift up the community as a whole, to support it, grow it, enrich it, and strengthen it. Sometimes that will allow for a great deal of cooperation and working together. Other times it will clearly come to a point in which we must go a different way because we have a vision for this board and this community and while we want to work together and its important we do, we will stay true to our vision and goals even if that means a few disagree and I wont be ashamed of that or apologize for staying true to our goals and vision.
I made a post a few weeks ago for someone looking for farnsworth and spelled it g r a n d p r i x f o r u m s . net and didnt get banned yet...
This is going to be good!!!
But I bet it won't last long.....
Scotty,
I like the tone of your reply. at least you guys seem to want to work together to help others in the GP community. That is good because I feel like 85% -90% of the members are going to be members of BOTH forums sooner or later.
You know what will surprise me? The day CATO or Greene join GPF or GPONA .. ROTFL
what is funny to me is I am a member of 4 or 5 Camaro sites, and every one of them refers people to another one (one of them has a couple hundred thousand registered members)
I would welcome any of them over here just as I welcome anyone else. And I would caution anyone that would see the need to criticize any of them that joined here. It is simply the wrong approach to take.
I wont tell you that I wouldn't mind being the only Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Regal site around. However, in a way Im glad we aren't. The competition keeps you on task and focused. We should, as a community, never have a problem coming together to make sure the community as a whole continues to flourish.
As I stated earlier there may be times when another forum may desire to do something that runs counter to our goals and vision and at such time we should be mature enough to say thats okay, shake hands and continue on until the next time that we can come together towards a common goal. Just because we dont see eye to eye, dont have the same goals or vision doesnt mean we dont have common ground and it certainly doesnt mean we cant work together at times or all the time for that matter.
The philosophy I hold to is this; I dont have to agree with you on all points to support you. I think the same holds true here. I may not agree with with other forums are doing or how they approach things, but we are still a community with common members and starting points. What I will do is remain true to this forums and this community's goals and vision and let the members of the community decide for themselves.
I think it will get to a point where you have certain groups, so far here seems to be technical related, clubgoofball seems to be punk kids, and gpona seems to be mostly younger guys wanting to chat (these are just my observations, and are not meant as a bas or argument for or against anyone) I will say this is the only one I don't send my son out of the room while reading due to avatars
