    I just recently got a PM from a member on here who bought my dashboard bezel. He said when he received it that the three middle air vents are missing and the rest of the bezel is pretty scraped up and such.

    Here is the dash that I sent him, when it was shipped out it still looked like this.




    Also, another thing, he said it was'nt even in a box when it arrived at his door. So obviously FedEx threw this thing around pretty hard to knock the air vents out of it because I know they don't just 'pop' out of place.


    I told him to go complain to FedEx while I do the same on my end, but I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had this kind of problem?

    Looking for suggestions on the best way to go about handling this with FedEx.

    I assume you bought insurance. If not then it's insured up to $100. That is sad though. Why would it not have been in the box? And the vents are heat riveted in to place so I don't see how they could every just pop out.

    Nope, did'nt buy insurance because it certianly isn't worth anything over $100 and I did'nt sell it to him for nearly that much.

    I was pretty sure it had $100 insurance on everything they shipped but I just wanted to make sure. I'll certianly be contacting them about it and telling them they need to dish out some cash or something.

    first off my dad works for fedex so i do know where im coming from...

    If you didnt get it insured, dont mean to come across as harsh but ur s.o.l

    Again first off... i dont want to call the guy a liar, because my dad said he has heard and seen some crazy things like that, but can he take a picture of it? to show proof that it was truly messed up? to show us that he isnt making up the story trying to get money?

    the next thing is... did you pay for it when u shipped it out? or did he have to sign the waiver form saying it was okay?

    How would the fedex employee have known where to deliver it if it wasnt in a box with the shipping address and label?

    If you just showed up home one day and it was sitting on ur porch all messed up then im thinking someone came and messed with your package and has a grudge against u

    i have seen where a box gets destroyed, and the address label gets cut and the product re-wrapped (but usually re boxed) and delivered .... ?

    but yeah, see if he can get you pics to give fedex

    all boxes are insured up to 100.00 no matter what. I have had 2 things arrive that have had either a new label wraped around it or part of the box tapped to it...arive at my front door.

    FedEx is normally very good, unlike UPS(my friends work there and have a lot of fun with the boxes)
