We all know by now, I am computer stupid.
I have Windows Vista. It says I don't have something compatable to even play a DVD in my windows media player. I don't want to pay for anything either. What I want to do is.....Copy our friends DVD into our computer, then burn it onto my own DVD to watch on the TV. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!! Like I said...use small words and speak slowly. More than likely, I don't know what you mean. Sad but true. Thanks-Lorri

since commercial dvds are encrypted you will need software to decrypt it so you can copy it the one I use is called "dvd shrink"...this program will decrypt it and will also make the files smaller to fit on a regular dvd...just searh for it in google it is a free program...as for burning the files it creates I don't know what you use on vista(hate it)...I use nero on my computerbut u said u dont want to buy anything so maybe someoneelse can tell u where to get that software...most computers generally come with at least basicsoftware for burning...so i'd double check to see if u have something too........hope this helps
