i went into roofing right out of HS, did that for 18 years, commercial flat roof installing, (side note i can install about 10 different roof systems lol) then i found a job where all i did was roof repairs, did that for 7 years, then went into trucking. a CDL lic can make you some good coin if your into driving all day in a rig. its not just holding a wheel. after 10 hrs your pretty beat. now im landscaping.

as you can see, im not one for working indoors at all. id feel like a caged rat for sure......closest thing to working inside was when i was in HS i worked at a roller rink. that was just to make some cash as a kid, not a career move lol

For how much longer though? That automated driving technology is developing VERY quickly...

When choosing a career, one major consideration should be how easily your job can be automated. The biggest threat to American jobs today is not foreign labor. It's robots.

dont think we will see it in our lifetime, a automated truck to make delivery's, i know the tech is coming, but they cant get a uber car to not crash yet.
in the mean time if some dirty illegal aint doing the driving local for 12 bucks a hr, most make at least 20 a hr. most jobs end up being 10 hr days sooo 200 dollar days sound pretty damn good to me. over 1200 gross for a 6 day week, winning

a friend of mine just got fired from a pretty damn good job, he worked at a cnc plastic valve making co. they made stuff from powder, then would mill what every they were making. he was the supervisor and was the only guy there that could program a lot of the machines.

lesson learned, ive been saying this for years on end too, EVERYONE is replaceable. you are not all that special in the end. where ever you worked will continue on with out you no problem lol
