What's a good brand to buy? What brands to avoid? Looking to do my wheels black, and want it to last. Also, is it thick enough to cover minor curb rash?

The brand in your title is the most renowned brand. From what I've heard none of the brands are bad, just pick one. Pep boys and advance auto both carry the stuff.

it will cover most scratches and such, its pretty durable, i got it on my winter wheels, car wash with super powerful wheel washing jets took some off on one wheel over the last 3 winters, even a tire change didnt remove any. and you can touch them up if you do get a scratch or some comes off.
makes sure you prep the wheels good first
how my wheels looked when i got em, i sanded de greased em.
how they came out.
even tho ive ran these 3 years and really cant stand the black wheels, im either going silver dip or real paint. see if i get off my lazy ass and deal with it or not lol
Plasti-Dip is the way to go. You can get a case at home depot.
Follow the directions carefully tho. Sprayed 4 coats on the rims but did a coat every 4 hours like the can says. They look phenomal and the dip is smooth.
A good trick to make the can spray easier is to submerge the spray can in a bucket of really warm water for bout 5 mins.
Sent from my LG G3
I love the stuff i plasti dipped my whole damn car. You did a good job on them. If you ever want them shiny you can buy the glossifier. get tired of it peel it off and do something different.. Love it lol
Did mine this weekend, I think they came out alright for my first time doing it. Pics in link.
