These guys sound more and more like the turbo guy I mentioned earlier in this thread. Lots of hype posted by him, but zero real numbers.

There are many of his customers that have been very happy with their heads from him, IMO, that's proof enough. I switched from a NIC only L32, to a NIC w/ ported heads L36 and it had GOBS more power even on the same pulley.. I dropped a half inch of pulley on the same gas and still had zero KR.

2002 Trans Am- 6 speed, bolt ons or something, it's slow.
2006 Silverado- forged ls2, 4l80e, plate kit, also slow...

How much more power did you make? How much faster did the car run?

im sure that adding nearly one whole compression point (3%ish iirc) to an m90 build didn't give you most of that gain, regardless of head flow.

I read too fast and skipped that point. Lol. Gald James pointed it out. Of course an l36 is going to make a ton more power

I always love hearing Gobs more power or it was so much faster, but no dyno numbers or timeslips. Ever. There's like 15-16 people here on this board that have dyno numbers or timeslips. It just doesn't seem like there are a lot of people that are very serious about power to quantify the gains made, why is this?

An L36 isn't going to make a lot more power than an L32 with the same mods, that's for sure. I went from an L32, nearly getting KR, to an L36 with his heads, AND dropped a half inch of pulley and still wasn't even close to getting KR with everything else the same, at even higher air temps.

The car was never going to the track, or a dyno, as it didn't matter to me. I just know it had a lot more power, usable power at that, than before.

So at what point in time did the trans fail?

Uh what? The trans never failed. If you're referring to it having no 3rd, it was like that before I bought the car.

Then it's kinda hard to quantify anything really then if your missing a gear right? I mean I spend most of my time in 3rd. Really wish you had fixed the car as it was beautiful and really liked watching it come together.

It's called the PLACEBO effect... And is the Brain that is doing all the work! It will convince you that little sugar pill cured your ills, that the topical oil is growing your hair back, and that a K&N open filter added 20 HP... Lol

I wanna just add my $.02 here... and say (off topic), that lately I feel there has been an effort to close threads a bit too quickly, over sensitivity I guess. Good or bad, it has dampened what I've liked most about this site and what I believe always made it better than the others and allowed it to succeed when they failed. Is that it allowed everyone's opinion to carry the same weight. 10,000 post count or 100. Sometimes it's needed, yes, but I for one enjoy the reads, glad this one has stayed open.

    Thanks!

Lol. An l36 makes a lot more power.

I love the guys that think something made them way more power and a lot faster. Yet, they never go to the track or dyno.

There is nothing wrong with this thread, two threads as of late have been closed due to one getting way out of hand and turning into a pissing match which looks terrible to new members and another directly attacking another member. Those two closed threads added nothing to the community.

I hate seeing threads get locked, and people being banned. Goes against my love of free speech. BUT these ^^^ are both very good points.

This message goes out to everyone who has Chris Hinson/Bully Flow heads.

Would you all mind sharing any real dyno info? Thanks

Ok I got a way to solve this. Somebody has a set of heads. It wouldn't be to hard to take them down to a machine shop and have them flowed. Then (please tell me someone has stock flow numbers) compare them to stock. Simple. I'm sure someone more computer savvy than myself could set up one of those go fund me things or we could just PayPal the person who would take them down. It won't answer the power question, but it would sure tell wether or not the heads flow like they should or not. How does that sound?

    I'll pitch in a $20
