Scotty!
Your call!!
You da man!!!
i aint got a dyno lol but i could tune ya. they say a street tune is best. and sadly most shops dont know wtf they are doing with a 3800. that would be the very first question, can you and have you tuned many 3800 set ups. most have not.
Scotty, you tune? That's good to hear. I want to remove the M90 and add a Z7 turbo kit, 60# injectors, ZZP ST1 cam....etc. I know what you mean about street tuning being better. I had a 2002 WS6 A4 with ported heads, a comp. 216/220 cam, and a Vig3600 stall. When LS1-Edit first came out i tuned my WS6 out on RT.42 in Camden County. I got my car to idle without any surge. It was a learning process, but i did run a best time of 11.73@118mph on a 1.78 60ft.
I still had my stock 10 bolt and stock 3.23 gears. So i took it easy when launching it. I had no weight reduction. No skinnies, and still ran my stock heavy front sway bar. I'm glad i can contact you for my GTP turbo build. I might buy HP Tuner later on, but i never tuned for boost before,so i rather call you sir.
Can u PM me your number?
theres really not much difference between a sc and a turbo tune. what year you got? i could send you a pcm with a starter tune, at least it would run right with the new injectors. hell it might be all you need. unless the trims are off and it needs maf tuning. they all ask for something different. no 2 engines are 100% the same.
you would be in luck, the last pcm i have here took a 2000 gtp bin. its got a turbo tune, 60 lb injectors, overkill trans tune, with shifts at 5800, timing is stock. i can raise it now if you like, or later on when you come for the fine tune part. stock is safe to start with. then add afterwards and see how much it will take.
You two should meet up at Rods Olde Irish Tavern in Sea Girt and discuss this.
