Maybe a Ram-Air that goes through the grills? I've been designing this for a while.

I would like to see this too, much like the Grand Am's do, but I jut dont see there being enough room to do it without heavy modification to that front radiator support.
Didn't one year of the Grand Ams have something similar to this?
^^Reptile is right. unless you plan on going speeds in excess of 100 mph it's not going to be all that functional. something to do with not enough airforce at such low speeds to even make a difference, but im not a physics major...it may lower your underhood temp a few degrees but thats about it
Its more the coolness of being able to say "I have Ram Air", as well, its just looks cool. To heck with the functionality of it all, LOL
Besides, didnt the ram air option make like a 25hp difference in the Firebirds over the ones that didnt have that package?
I think that the "top options" (WS6 & SS) did have an extra 30 hp...but I think it was in the exhaust work. The SS Camaro had the cool hood, but a crazy bend in it so it still didn't have any function.
Yeah, I was never a fan of the Camaro. The Firebird on the other hand, woooo momma.
I looked at a Firebird ram air hood once right before they quit making the Firebird and it seemed to be a fairly straight shot. I think there was a small bend of some sort in it that had some holes drilled in it for water drainage.
the TA's were functional as the hood went directly into the front of the Lid. also the SLP intake system worked out great.....collected air from the air dam, directly into the air box from under the car. this improved time dramaticly.
I want another TA.
was his jar of pickles almost empty again?
after my drag car, I will never own another LT1/4 again. LS1 or bust
93 cobra's, but that is a "special" vehicle, so I guess it is kind of an exception.
that, and they are appreciating in value....... friend may sell me his midnight blue TA come spring....78K miles...immaculate. for 9K...what he bought it for. BUT....we will see. I boubt it now that he has done research on the prices. local dealership here had a red TA with 63K on it...sold it for 16.
not nearly as old but 02 camaros are still sellin for 30k and its 6 years later...then again it was the last year and 35th aniversary
