No it cranks and starts up fine and then dies after about 5 seconds. I know for sure its the wrong VIN becuase I accidentally gave the person my VIN with one letter shy lol If you wondering if it drives as in to know if I can get the car anywhere, I just put in the stock tuned PCM and it runs fine. To be be more clear I bought a pcm from someone he did some tuning on it, wrong VIN went in the tuned pcm, and he sent it to me.
Darkhorizon can you help? If so can you meet me somewhere around Ann Arbor? It looks to be about halfway between us. And Jon I'll give your guy a call if dark can't help.
Glad I could help.. everything work out?
I forgot about the TPS... Might want to just do the learn procedure over again for good measure.
Turn ignition key to on (but don't start engine) and leave it for 10 seconds, then turn it off for 10 seconds.
Then push the pedal down as far as it will go, turn ignition key back to on for 10 seconds again, then turn key off, then release pedal and wait another 10 seconds.
Repeat this 2-3 times to make sure it's got it. If you have a scanner you can verify it. With the ignition on and foot off the pedal it should now read 0% throttle, then push it down and the percent should rise until you are at 99-100% at WOT position.
Sweet ya I did that and everything seems to be feeling fine. Once again I just need a stupid obd2 for cheap to just check out the simple things. But thanks again for all the help. The car drove great home. The car feels alot better under throttle and in shifts. No more sluggish rolling into the next gear.
HMmm dark horizon I might be able to use your services in the future as well :P GOod to know you can tune stuffs. Im stock but wouldnt mind getting things firmed up and maybe the annoying P420 light permanantly turned off but good to hear you could help out a Fellow GPFer
Check the fuel pump resistor bypass
Well we ended up fixing it by just reflashing it so who I got it from did something screwy. And yes I did the bypass, checked the resistor, checked the pump, etc. It was definately a problem with the pcm but we have it all fixed and running.
alright just let me know what you can find before I get back to that guy. I can't really ask for money back because I have a tuned pcm that is working and I came out of it with a good experience of talking with you about some dos and don'ts and Milan Dragway was pretty cool too. Oh btw I think I'm going to start looking into some cheap ebay headers or if anyone is doing a demod of theirs. And what do you think of the VS cam so I wouldn't have to replace the stock valve train?
