hey do you know how to change the dhp values from Celsuis to Farenheight?
i tore down the car the lim was toast pix in the runnin hot thread
thank you sir, had me thinking it could be a bigger issue but yeah ill get back to ya, thanks dr boost lmao
Check fuel pressure, clean the maf and call me in the morning.
hey bill, when i got to start my car when its still warm every once in a while its just seems like it starts like ****. just rough but just for sec
ok, thank you for your help Red
Red, If you are reading with a Modis, then likely you understand that the maf sensor can cause issues. Try unplugging it and lettting it learn. I'd think it's either the wiring to the maf or the maf itself. On vacuum.. yes, replace the vac lines There is a tube that goes from the EGR to the LIM. Pull it and pull back the piece that holds it to the LIM. Look close at the edge, likely it's cracked. Replace that and most of your vac leaks should be all set. If you continue to get the code, follow the trouble chart in the Modis. It should give you the electrical diagram etc to follow/test things.
i was wondering if you had any ideas, i have a 1997 gp gtp i gutted the cat, removed the resignater, removed the mufflers I removed the airbox/tube and put a cone on the throttle body 180 deg thermostat replaced the LIM gaskets and all above it replaced plugs and wires when the car gets warm it will cut out and right back in, its pretty ruff, the motis shows MAF low signal, it was showing MAF low sig, MAP low sig, and left bank running lean (what you told me makes sence about having the single exhaust and o2 sensor im just saying what the motis reads) i did clean the MAF when i had it off with the MAF cleaner i do know that a lot of the vac lines must be cracked because whoever had it before me has electrical tape on all the lines, i am going tonight to get all T and lines, i was wondering if you had any ideas on what my problem might be? Any help is appreciated thanks Red
Bill, you are The Man. i'm gonna do the job 2morrow. u gave me the best news this week. thank you and i'll probably post pics.
You can do it topside. Act like a motor pull except drain both trans fluid and oil, pull the axles like you would for a trans. Disconnect the electrical for the engine and the trans. Then using a leveler lift it out and get the trans mount off, then with the passenger side start putting that end to the roof and you'll be able to squeak past the master cylinder. It may help to have another person over there and unbolt the master (leave the lines connected...but allow it to move a bit, giving you more room.
